I'm having a problem with FF7 pc, on XP... at the whirlwind maze, after the talk between Hojo and cloud, where cloud eventually ends up walking on the ceiling, the game just goes to a black screen, without any sound. This screen doesn't go away on its own (i.e. last only for like 2 minutes). If a movie file is supposed to play here, that may be the problem, as at least one of the AVIs was corrupt (greatpit.avi i believe. it locked up the game after about 15 seconds). If it is a movie problem, I should be able to fix it by replacing the movie with a blank movie file (the movies are being played from the harddrive). Anyone know what could be causing this?

An FMV is supposed to play there.

That sounds like the FMV in which Cloud hands the Black Materia over to Sephiroth's body. In the event that you're going to be missing out on seeing this FMV, you can go to this page at Blue Laguna.net (http://bluelaguna.net/movies/ff7/fmvs.php) and download the FMV entitled "Cloud Hands Over the Black Materia."

hmm, yeah that would seem to be the movie file. if the problem is that i am completely missing the file, then id still need the file name (the site renamed all the movies from the names i have), so i could either use the site's movie or just a blank movie file. does anyone happen to have the name of the movie handy, as FF7 PC would look for it?

I asked Steele and he said...
it's c_scene 3. As a side note, you were missing c_scene 2 from your list (thats where Sephy's cocoon falls a few feet from teh materia tree, and some rocks drop on nanaki/barret's head.

Hi guys I am new and I search the web for the same problem and I saw it here.
You guys are saying replacing a blank/new movie file, but how can i do that?? I mean how can I replace files that are in a disc?
