<Daniel> Oh. Question.
<Daniel> What do you call a citizen of Hong Kong?
<Daniel> A Hong Kongian?
<Daniel> :(
<Timothy> phone.
<FlyingMullet> oppresed
<Farah> Sounds like King Kong :p
<Daniel> A phone? o_o
<Kane> Hong Kong belongs to China, now. :O
<Timothy> Yes, phone.
<FlyingMullet> well since 1999 they're Chinese
<Daniel> That's an odd name for a Hong Kong citizen.
<Del_Snizz> Nothing belongs to China.
<Daniel> Yeah, but that doesn't change what you call the people from there.
<Daniel> I'm an Aucklander. Just because Auckland is part of NZ doesn't mean I don't come from Auckland.
<Daniel> But what do you call someone from Hong Kong?
<FlyingMullet> how about a Hong Konger?
<Daniel> This is a very important question.
<Timothy> Hong Kongese?

Pfft.
They are chinese, but I heard they keep the same government system that they had under us for about another 25/30 years.

I take credit for the "Hong Kongese" suggestion. However, ignore the part about the phone. I was paying no attention to the conversation, and indeed, I had a phone call.

Why would you take credit for that?

Person from Hong Kong = Chinese

"Hey you!" (in Chinese) also works, or you could just ask their name.
