You can't.

Impossible my friend. Why? Because even if you could get it, you finish the game after you beat One Winged Angel, so you wouldn't be able to use it anyway. Plus you can't learn it. :P

That's what we call a "rumour".

There are a great many rumors detailing how to get a Super Nova materia, or how to learn it as an enemy skill. The one you described is among the more common. All of them, however, are unequivocally false. That particular technique is unique to Safer Sephiroth.

On a side note, Super Nova is actually FFVII's equivalent of Grand Cross (considering that it is used by the final boss, its specific effects, etc.).

well if Safer Seperoth has it ya think yud be able to get it.

...

Why? You'd never be able to use it.

I think you guys are forgetting the guy at the Golden Saucer who trades things for tissues and 1/35 soldiers ;)

Oh yeah! the guy who gives you the NEO-Phoenix Summon to revive Aerith? And free rides on Ultima Weapon?

But doesn't Supernova just take down the enemy to like 10% health or something? Because every time Sephiroth uses it, you never die. You just go down to about 800 health. So really, it's not the best thing in the game. W-Summon Knights of Round > SuperNova.

actually, that's a VERY good thing.

And yes, the same guy who gives you that summon.

If you read my previous post, you'll see that I suggested that this is FFVII's version of Grand Cross (see FFV and FFIX). You can count on it lowering your HP to critical and adding status effects, but the damage itself won't prove fatal.

so do i use the 1/35 soldiers to get it?

They're being sarcastic, claw. 1/35 Soldier Items have no use whatsoever and Super Nova cannot be acquired through any means.

This thread > all.

Yeah man, you can't get it. Plus even if you could, really...I mean...can you imagine your characters doing it? It just wouldn't be right.

It's a dumb rumor someone started. I've came across it myself like, 3 years ago...it's a few places down from the 3 million "revive aeris" rumors.

Your right it wouldn`t look right, but then it`s not right anyway after Sephiroth has destroyed jupiter for the third time
