Have you felt the wrath of one of these lovely creatures? If so, was it painful? If not, are you worried that the next wasp sting could be an allergy-provoking one?
I've been stung about 3 times apparently my mother tells me, but I can't remember any of them. I still get pretty edgey around wasps and bees.

Nah, never. But I'm surprised I never have, considering how I used to whack them with a baseball bat when I was younger.

Nope, 19 and never stung by a bee or wasp... yah I've been stung by other insects, but not flying ones...

I like bees, they are pretty friendly, wasps I avoid though.

Yeah I've been stung a few times. None of them really hurt except for the yellow jacket, and that one was nasty. I've also been stung by a scorpion, and that was really itchy. :(

I got stung once when I was a little kid. I've avoided being stung again, because now I squeal like a little girl whenever I see one. :(

I've been stung by a wasp 2-3 times when I was a kid. As far as a bee goes, I'm 22 and not stung yet. My luck is holding out for me.

Once by a wasp, there was a wasp hive in a dome at a cap site that I was at for a week :( Oh....He didn't live :radred: BUG SLAP OF DEATH!

But I'm surprised I never have, considering how I used to whack them with a baseball bat when I was younger.

I've been stung a few times when I was younger. I remember being stung by a wasp at the heels. The thing kept stinging like there was no tomorrow. I had to scrape it off my self to kill it. :/

I was little and I was at Brownies and this beasted wasp comes from under the chair and stings my knee when I sit down, I didn't want to kill it, so the Brownie leader got rid of it, she killed it anyway, then they put some nasty vinegar on my knee :(

I've never been stung which makes me really anxious about getting stung. I hate insects that fly...they make my skin crawl.

I've had bee/wasp stings a couple of times, but the worst was when I fell in a stingy nettle bush and got 15 stings on one hand. It, er, stung.

Ugh... I was fishing once.
walked through a patch of that then dropped something.

By the time I got up from picking it up, I felt the stinging in my legs and realised what I was standing knee deep in...

My legs and arms burned for hours.

I've never been stung by one, even though, disgustingly, I've had a wasp fly into my mouth before.
I just spat it out real quick, and ran into my bathroom to get the mouthwash. ;)
But nope, never been stung!

I've been stung by a wasp, but not a bee.

I was crying on the floor for half an hour>.<; It was recently after I fell on a barbed wire fence around third grade, and the sting was right above where the barbed wire had got meX.x;;;

Hopefully never again.

I was stung by a wasp once. It was a little funny, it looked like the wasp was backing up and accidentally ran into my ankle and stung me. It looked all disoriented after it had stung me and flew away really fast. Also I was stung by a bee when I was nine. I was in the passenger's seat with the window down while going down a highway and a bee just flew into the window and stung my cheek. Not pleasant.

Ouch!

I was playing lawn darts when I was little. I ran over to pick up a dart and there was a bee in the grass by the dart and it stung my hand as I grabbed the dart.

My grandmother put baking soda on it. O_o;;

Edit: Oh yeah! One time during a soccer game I was running and a bee flew into my mouth as I shouted something. It stung me in the back of the throat. I stopped and was hacking until both the bee and the stinger flew out. It sucked.

Only once, and I'll share the story because it was amusing and happened in front of ShlupQuack (Mandee).

We were playing Super Crouquet at her house and I knocked the ball into the fence down the hill of slippery ice plant. I took the path down and got it, and as I bent down I laid my hand on the fence... right next to a wasps nest. It erupted on me and I was screaming and trying to claw up the ice plant but I kept slipping and yelling for Mandee to help me, but she couldnt so she laughed.

Somehow I only got stung once, but... well this is why ShlupQuack and TheAbominatrix are best friends forever. xD

The only time I recall being stung was when I was 5 years old. I was petting a bee because it was fuzzy. Then it stung me. It hurt, I cried. I told my caregiver about it and she said there was nothing wrong...except for a lump the size of a big toe on my thumb. Stupid caregiver.

A few times. Not often, though, because when I see one I run in the opposite direction like the hounds of Hell were on my heels. Last time was when I ran over a wasp's nest with the lawnmower. They were not amused.

The last time I was stung was the first day of my sophomore year in high school. Before that, I was six. I can only remember a few times I've been stung, though.

Honestly, it's fun...inly if you're protected. A few years ago, there was a wasps' nest near my house. I had two cans of bug killer ready as I unleashed my hose full of cold water. They hate the cold, so obviously they became annoyed. I mean I had 2 HUGE cans, so there had to be at least 40000 wasps if they wanted to stand a chance against me. Luckily there was far less. I wouldn't do it again in the future because it's expensive(they were $9/can) and I'm sure those wasps(or the survivors) will call upon their buddies to back them up next time.

Really though, if you're stupid like me...buy 2 large cans of bug killers and just have fun. I felt really macho after I sprayed them punk-ass wasps, I was like "WHAT!" But eh...

My first experience was when a bee flew up my shirt and stung me right on the ribs. I was six at the time, so you can understand why I don't like those things.

I got bit on my knee by a hornet when I was... three-years-old, I think. I remember the moment fairly well, though the pain is forgotten. I generally stay away from wasps, but bees are my friends and have never stung me no matter how many times I've come into contact with them.

I still tell that story fairly regularly. You desperately clawing your way up the slippery ice plant, yelling "Mandee, help me!!!" One of the funniest moments of my life. I'm laughing right now just thinking about it. :fpexdee:

I've never been stung. I'm to much of a insectaphobe, so they never catch me because I'm running to fast and screaming like a 8 year old Scandinavian school girl who just tore the seam of her navy blue skirt 3 hours earlier after getting off the bus and then tripping on a rock and falling face first into the mud on the way and then the guy she thinks is hot approaches her to ask her out.

Yeah, I had the baking soda thing done to me too, it seemed to help.
What happened, was we were driving in Prince Edward Island, and I was in the middle backseat of a van, so there was a clear path to the front of it. A bee flew in the open window, came straight back and landed on my upper lip. I, being six, panicked and shook my head back and forth with my mouth open :p. Naturally, it stung my on the lip, but I guess I was lucky it didn't go in my mouth.

Apparently there are a lot of bees in PEI, because my sister got stung beside her eye earlier in the trip :p.
