View Full Version : Playstation version ending???

Hi,

I've been trying to beat FF VI for maybe 10 years (not playing FFVI only, lol. Just whenever I started up again, I never finished), and for whatever reason, kept on having to restart. I finally beat it just now on SNES. *pats himself on back*.

I was wondering if the Playstation had a different ending? I know there were more CGI movies in that version, were there any in the ending?

Also, I'd heard before that Locke and Celes got married at the end. I didn't see any of this happen, only hints of the future. Is that all there is?

FFVI for the PS has the exact ending as the SNES, you're not missing anything (except a few bonus extras and movies that do not affect the characters or original ending)

The wedding bit was probably a rumour that started with the CGI version of the opera scene. You can see Celes with a boquet in what looks like a wedding dress.

If the thread is talking about the ending, it's a pretty sure bet they're giving something away.

There's nothing extra, just a CG movie at the end which can be downloaded off the internet I'm sure. It just consists of some very pretty scenes set in CG, most of them from the game or 'imagined' from the game. None of the scenes take place after the ending, game-wise.

Lock and Celes most certainly do not get married.

It's no rumour on the Playstation. You find out after you beat Tiamat for the third time inside the Zone Eater...

Kefka got killed by Alexander. I dun really like this though as this implies a mere esper is more powerful than my winged half naked muscular jester god of magic. :(
