RSL's latest announcement for General Chat has only 43 views(some people probably clicked it twice, too). I know there are more than 43-viewers of General Chat, especially in the several days it's been up.

So my question: how many of you actually notice/care about the Announcements? How many of you read them?

I, personally, always read them if I notice a new one's been made. Then I read any of the older one's that I've missed. Some of them are pretty funny(especially the RSL Day Announcements xD).

I suppose that's because I've always assumed that it was technical dribble of the serious kind.

I only check out the announcements about 1-2 times every week. Sometimes I actually forget that they exists.

How is this thread "out of control?" If anything, it's in the spirit of the announcement, to get more people here to read it so they can stop making stupid threads.

I read the announcements, though sometimes it takes me a couple of days to notice when there's a new one.

Usually because I don't notice them. But soon as I do I read them.

I always check them out.
But I dont do it straight away as often I don't notice that there are new ones.
I propose you make them more noticable. Brightly flashing colours or scrolling text is always good. ;)

I always check; my eyes always go up first, before scrolling down. :) I'm a good EoFF citizen. I like to back through them sometimes, if I'm especially bored.

I didn't notice this one, but that's probably because RSL made it, like the last one; didn't stick out as new enough.
I always read 'em! Right away.

I check announcements as soon as I notice they're there; the info is usually something important (for instance, Kishi's death notice:p) so I like to keep track.

RSL only made that announcement in gen chat, whereas most are for all forums, so you may not have noticed it if you were looking while in other forums.

I personally always read them.

where do you get the views count?

I don't really notice the Announcements up there at the top of the page, because there's nothing (to my knowledge =/) that indicates when a new one has been made. When I'm aware, though, I'll read them (and any that I missed).

Also, of course I read announcements ^_^ I was the one who brought it up to RSL the outrageous fact that he only said "Hi guys" in the title and not girls, so he has changed it for the better. ^_^ I am a politician.
