I have some questions for whoever has done this mission.

Do you have to have limit break 2 complete to activate this mission?

What level is good enough for a PLD do this mission? Because I have a DRK53 friend who just beat the Shadowlord today.

i believe you have to be lvl 60 to get the mission, i could be wrong though

I know you gotta be somewhere around 55 to survive, but I keep hearing that you have to "complete Genkai 2" before, and I also hear people saying you dont have to do it. I'm just asking for facts, not rumors. :D

I did this mission at 51, but it was an LS event.

Lvl 50 is what you have to be to recieve the mission. If you're not going with lvl 60+ people in it and are a balanced 53/5 or something like that try a standard epx pt, PLD tank, rdm/brd whm Blm = ESSENTIAL and some DD.

If you are a melee, please have the courtesy to buy prism powders and silent oils, your mages will appreciate the gesture as it is a long way there and "sneak plz" becomes annoying VERY quickly.

Onto the SL, this fight is in two parts, the first is a standard exp fight, except that your blm will not cast magic on him, if he does he's an idiot, it will not hurt the SL, somewhere through the fight the PLD should notify you that his attks to 0 dmg, the blm nukes then, after a while this will reverse, and the magic will do 0 dmg, melee attacks will do dmg. Continue this until his hp is 0, try not to use 2hrs in this portion of the fight.

You will get a short cutscene, fight part 2:

He is now the Spam AoE Lord, you can't escape it, don't waste time, 2Hr Go nuts, hit him with everything you have, his def here is low so just go crazy on attacks, with luck you'll win, if you wasted the 2hrs on the first portion of the fight, you may not win, however it does depend on the pt makeup.

if you are below 60, very high depending on the lvl of your mages, me (75BLM) and my friend (75RDM) did it solo for a RL friend when he was lvl 50 so e could do ZMs with us, only guy i know that was below 60 that had most ZMs done lol

A lvl 75 NIN and RDM helped me with this..i am lucky to know such friends :x

Once you beat 5-1 which requires you to b lvl 50, you can fight M 5-2. If you are a tank...try to be higher lvl or find another higher tank.

yeah, I did 5-1 already, I'll just get a higher level tank and prepare to die.

if you have a tank that can keep hate then you wont die, AoE isnt bad at all on him
