Inspired by my rant in LJ about how scary the Quaker Oats man is, and this funny article (http://funkdiggityfresh.com/review117.html) I found online about the scariest commercial mascot, I made this thread. Who do you think is the scariest commercial mascot? I put some that I found scary, but list some of your own! :)

I've never liked the Hamburger Helper Hand, in the same vein of the Arby's oven mitt. I guess there's something about anthropomorphized (http://www.merriam-webster.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?book=Dictionary&va=anthropomorphized) human extremities.

Also, the Morton's salt girl. Why is she pouring salt, outside in the rain? Is it tradition from a now-anachronistic marketing campaign? Or some sort of satanic ritual?

I sure as hell wouldn't want to run into Mr. Clean in a dark alley.

The Old Navy people arn't scary, just smurfing annoying. Every time I see one of those commerical, it decreases my chances of ever shopping at Old Navy again.

Also, why does Mr. Clean has white eyebrows?

That talking red piece of gum in the Extra gum commercials. He's really creepy.

My vote would also have to go to the Trix Rabbit. His voice is annoying, and he seems to be slowly going insane since the kids will just never give him the cereal.

The burger king mascot possesses people.Thier new commercial is proof enough. Just look close enough and you'll see that those poor people are in an unescapeable torture. :(
