emerrald or ruby weapon

hi guys ive completed ff7 ??? amount of times but could never defeat the weapons ruby or emerald. ive looked at stratergys on other sites but there all to hard 2 achieve can anyone tell me a reletivly simple way 2 defeat them ive got most materia including kotr-summon, morph, w-magic,summon +item,all the ones out of northern cave.

Do what my friend did, just train up to level 99 on all characters. Or use my method which is max up on sources by morphing the enemies in the Gelnika and get your stats really high.

Yes, I have. Emerald is pice of cake without materia but Ruby is hell itself without materia.

There a number of creative ways to beat Emerald and Ruby; no materia is one of the best. If you're going after Ruby without materia, I strongly recommend you have quite a few Dazers items in your inventory.

Including materia, of course, allows for you to do horrible things to Em and Ruby. My goal on my next FFVII playthrough will force me to leave them until I've done a lot of materia leveling, since I hope to destroy them never choosing an action (in other words, solely through countering).

Emmy is cake without materia - it just takes time. Beating Ruby without materia means you must not have valued the entire summer you wasted while attempting it.

However, both of them are easier than cake with materia. Ruby just takes a strategy - Hades, w-summon, KotR, Mime are all that's needed. For Emmy, you just need to keep pounding away and healing, with out without materia.

Actually... it only took me about 40 attempts or something like that. Ofcourse... even the failed attempt could take about 1-2 hours... which means you'll get pretty frustrated when the game over screen suddenly appears. :)

Did you count your hits? Don't forget that Ruby have about 1,000,000 HP. Because of her extreme defense, you'll have to hit her a hella load of times. :cool: Don't cry. You should laugh instead, like I did when I got game over after 1-2 hours of fighting! :D Seriously... one time i just couldn't stop laughing. :greenie:

Anyone know if their is a way to nullify ruby`s defence and do more damage because the most damage i can do (and this is with hero drinks) is around 800 and thats wit cloud aswell. (thats 800 per hit by the way)

Put Cait Sith in your party. Get his Slot limit break all ready to use, then save your game right before you fight him. Fight him and fire off that Limit Break, try and time it so it gets all 3 slots showing Sith's face. When they do they die immediatly. If you fail just try again. I defeated Emeral Weapon like that in three tries.

you beat them without materia and it took more then 20 minutes.... ya damn lia, there is a time limit of 20 mins (which is easyly doable with materia) unless you have the underwater materia which means you didnt kill him without materia :p oh and btw the easyest way to kill emmy is to have KotR+HP Absorb Mime+MP Absorb Final Attack+Revive = invincible Cloud have the others equiped with Mime and Final Attack+Revive that way it is imposible to loose

I actually have a system for it. Needs only one character equiped with KOTR, some really good defensive magic, alot of elixers, a Mime Materia, and karma. Simply have that one character cast KOTR, then use an elixer on him, repeat a total of ten times and Ruby should die.

heres a good strategy to fight ruby...have magic counter equipped with full-cure..and have a very extensive collection of elixirs....and obviously pheonix with final attack....this pretty much makes you invincible.....just make sure to take out the tentacles before they suck your mp away.....omnislash does the trick here.....then just plough ruby away with your KOTR.....peice o cake....

oo make sure 2 of your people are dead when you go into battle....or hell more than likely suck away the good one....

Yes, RUBY WEAPON took more than 20 min, of course. But there's no time limmit in the battle against Ruby! I actually managed to beat Emerald before the time ran out, thanks to the "Fury" status which allows you to get Limmit Breaks much more often. You can still have powerful equipment and use Megaelexirs, so it's really not that hard to survive. I also had the battle speed at max, or pretty close to max. It's completely possible to beat Emerald without materia in 20 mins. Ruby Weapon, on the other hand takes about 1-2 hours... if you're lucky. :p

everyone has their own methods and i think you'll agree that everyone here has or will develop more interestign ways of beating emerald and ruby....but the most generic and safest way to beat the bastards...is with KOTR and Phoenix, Final Attack combo......

beating Ruby and Emerald is one heck of an achievement whatever way you do it.....anyone who has done it will tell you that...so anyone who can do it without materia....without KOTR....or without The phoenix solution.....then hey consider yourself good, great maybe ...but master...NO.....

No-one will ever know final fanatsy so well they are unmistakably The Master.....

I've killed Ruby Weapon only once before (And that night I think I was having loads of luck, as I killed Emerald Wepon just an hout before without KOTR, W-Summon, or anything, mainly with Omnislash, Highwind, and many 4x-Cuts) and I've forgotten how ever since. That was about three years ago. Now, I've just given up. I got so very, very, very close... and then the power cut off. I nearly broke my PSone because of it... >.<
