k, so this week (Monday to Friday), I'm not going to allow myself to use the internet at all, to see what happens. which brings up this question:
have you ever denied yourself access to something you love, for any reason?

Yes, many times. But, of course, it never lasts for a very long time if I'm not doing it for a really clear, and good reason. Like, not absently chewing on my finger/nails. It never works. But that's all right, because I LIKE chewing on them.

I gave up McDonalds, KFC, and most of the other huge, chain, fast-food places.
It wasn't hard though, I really have no desire to ever eat at those places again.
I tried to give up FFXI, but that didn't work out. :p

I gave up soda when Nicky was giving up caffeine. I did it so I could be cool like Nicky. Didn't work.

I've denied myself of most human contact for the last six years or so. It gets harder to maintain after a few years, and it's really taking a lot out of me now.

Nice yummy pizzas and chocolate and stuff or other not so healthy food I loved when I was losing weight...and umm...games that I really wanted to play when I knew I had work to do. That's it really..I think.
No double cheese burgers from Burger King or McDonalds for me anymore. I barely even let myself have anything there anymore. Not only is it extremely fatty, I also get zits from eating those burgers because they're so greasy.

I wish I could deny myself access to the computer/Internet. But my will is a little weak, and I'm still working on it. :(

I've actually been able to keep this one up; and that includes soda. Subway's way better anyway.

I gave up fingercracking. I did it every 10th minute before, but now I haven't done it in two or three months. I'm currently trying to give up pole dancing, but it's kinda hard.
I denied myself drugs for a week. It worked out for the better.
I've also denied myself beef and seafood for a very long time, also for the better.
It helps you reprioritize. Best of luck.

Yes. Food. Sweet, delicious food. I diet on and off. Currently off, but I'm going to have to start again soon to get in shape for the summer. :(

When I was younger I used to eat a lot of sugary foods and sweets but began to grow sick of it. As I got older I would eat it every once in a while but eventually denied myself it and have grown to not like sugar anymore.
Take care all.
