Grahf (Xenogears): OR Weltal is insanely powerful and he has the ability to beat the living crap out of a huge gear WITH HIS BARE HANDS.
Magus (Chrono Trigger): His magical prowess is unmatched, making him an invaluable asset to the team. I envision him hovering above OR Weltal, as I think he and Grahf'd get along.
Albedo (Xenosaga): Albedo's insanity is a beauty to behold, and his regenerative powers ensure that he keeps coming, not to mention the psychological aspect of him tearing off his own head while it laughs maniacally. Plus, as an added bonus, Albedo pilots an E.S. which could prove useful in a pinch.
Laharl (Disgaea: Hour of Darkness): When properly equipped, our spunky Lord of the Netherworld is virtually unstoppable. Taking into account that he could learn every spell, and max out their levels, and himself at level 9999 with the best weapons and armor available, well, let's just say he'll be wiping out pretty much anybody in his path with no difficulty at all.

Honorable mentions:

Cidalfus Orlandu, aka the Thunder God Cid (Final Fantasy Tactics): Orlandu's powerful sword skills are a force to be feared, but given the respective power of the others involved, it simply doesn't stack up.
chaos (Xenosaga): I admit chaos is one of my favorite characters, and he does seem to possess a hidden power that could potentially be quite good. However, until I see more of this power manifest (I have not yet beaten Jenseits von Gut und Bosse) I cannot properly judge. If so, he and the E.S. Asher would be replacing Albedo and his own E.S.
Kefka (Final Fantasy VI): It was a tough decision between Albedo and Kefka, but Albedo won out in the end because of two factors, his regeneration, and his E.S. Kekfa's angelic form is most certainly mighty, and his insanity is equitable with Albedo's, but in the end, Albedo won out. I hate to say this because Albedo's character is so enjoyable, but he's probably the first to go on that team.
Fei Fong Wong/Id (Xenogears): The decision between Grahf and Fei was a tough one, and I'm still actually debating over this and may replace Grahf with Fei eventually. Weltal-Id and the Xenogear are both powerful machines. Fei is decent on foot, Id being considerably more so, but having seen Grahf's performance on foot against gears, I am inclined to say that his physical capabilities are greater. However, as we never are able to see Fei fight in the same situation later, with his full power unlocked, it is most certainly a tough call.

1) Fayt,star ocean 3: although he may not start out as much he is incredably fast amd at later levels lethal with skills such as ethereal blast and dimension door

2) Auron,FFX: Yes auron he's slow but with his power he won't need speed as later overdrives make even the toughest enemies a peaice of cake.

3) Sephiroth,FFVII: Well with my user name this would probably be predictable but beings powerful and having speed too match he is lethal and with super nova mwahahahahaha.

4) Amarant/Albel,FFIX/star ocean 3: Yes i like him at later levels with he right equipment and abilities he is lethal his no mercy attack deals 9999 almost constantly.
or in the case of albel his vampiric flash is overpowerful taking well over 50,000Hp and 5,000MP off any who syep into the flare of it and healing albel by that amount.

(yay.....this is the team i would like too see i couldn't decide weather to have albel or amarant so i put down wither or...

Kefka (FFVI)- an insane clown. duh.
Gaspard (Dark cloud 2)- his sword looked awesome. Plus he can transform.
Frog (CT)- The best themesong ever, and overall valour.
Faris (FFV)- the love of my life. :love: I don't care if she does'nt exist.
(If you don't know faris is a girl too bad. It's early enough in the game that you should know. ;) )

From what I heard of the Japanese version, this one actually sounded a lot better. I think tearing one's head off is much cooler than cutting it off with a knife.

The english version made it seem like his body was made of gel or goo or something. In the Japanese version he actually bled... Spoiler-esque, but I'm glad I saw the video of the original first. That way I could imagine it as what happened while watching the editted scene. Anyway. My apologies for going off topic.

Magus (Chrono Trigger). Hey, is there nothing better than a homicidal wizard loner who's spells just kick butt!
Seifer(FF VIII). If there is, it must be a cool bad-boy loner who has a scar and a gunblade.
Shadow(FF VI). There are always situations you want shurikens and a ferocious dog to your side. Plus that ninjas are loners. AND that if he's not on your side, you might wake up finding out he has been hired to other side and you have eaten one shuriken too much.
Vincent(FF VII). You just can't cope without an undead sniper!

They all seem to be quite loners so I quess they wouldn't disturb each other too much.

Party #2 if I had been allowed to make one:
Cid (FFVII). Hey, he's a spear-wielding, cigarette-smoking airshipflier!
Setzer(FFVI). He could beat you in poker and then cut your throat USING THOSE SAME CARDS!
Edge(FFIV). You always need a ninja. Especially if Shadow's not on your side.
Crono(Chrono Trigger). Cool hair, katana, fast as lightning, casts some seriously damaging lightning spells! What else could you want!
