ok in one trailer when Yazoo swipes clouds sword it falls half way to the ground therefore cloud is unarmed but he fights back with another sword he got out of no where, was his Buster sword split or what?

It was another sword strapped to the back of his left leg. I'll see if I can get you a screenshot of him drawing it forth.

Yes, his sword is cast away from him fully intact and it lands sticking in the ground:

The easiest way, like Wrexsoul said, is the hair. Kadaj's hair is a good bit shorter than Yazoo's--Kadaj's hair reaches just past his chin, while Yazoo's goes well past his shoulders. Also, I think Kadaj has a rounder face, but that might just be me. Attached are some pictures so you can tell the difference. Does that help any?

i don't understand how people can NOT tell the difference between the two. They look almost nothing alike and it's starting to piss me off that people are like, "Oh they have long hair. They're the same person." and stuff like that. As like twenty people said, it's the hair that tells them apart that's the most obvious. Second, it's their eyes, but you probably won't see that. You don't even have to look hair to figure it out. And YAzoo looks a bit more feminine than Kadaj.

As for th fight with Cloud, Kadaj cuts the blade of the Buster Sword, kind of slices through it and Cloud turns around and attacks with the rest of the blade that's left, not a new one. Kadaj then flips over the attack.

i watched the trailer again after the sword lands int he ground cloud reaches into his leg and reveals a different sword

so did I, and from what it looks like to me, it looks like half of the sword goes flying off into the distance and then Cloud comes back with another attack, but you know, it doesn't matter. If he has another sword attached to him, which is nowhere to be seen in the other parts of the trailer during that scene before that part, then okay, he does. If he doesn't, then he doesn't. Sheesh. I'm just saying that only half of the buster sword goes flying and it looks like Cloud switched hands before attcking Kadaj again.

yea, pretty obvious to tell the difference between Kadaj and Yazoo...Kadaj is the tuff one, always messing with Cloud....Yazoo(longer hair) is normally just blasting away with his gun on his bike

if you guys really saw the movie you would notice that when he gets off of his bike he puts the second smaller sword in a sheath on this leg/hip whatever. so when the buster is knocked out of his hand and stuck sideways in the side of the building he uses the smaller sword for defense and then jumps away to get the buster. the smaller sword is the one that has the revolving hilt and opens all the swords at the end of the movie.

question - does anyone have a good picture of all the swords separately or whole, let me now or post it.

for this one its simple, since Kadaj is the main villan character why the hell would he be fighting Yazoo. also we know that Yazoo and Loz are left in the Tunnel bomb explosion so they don't show up till the end. yes there is a big difference with their hair. it can be seen in the first scene with them and the old buster sword and when they are in the old Capitol recruiting the kids. and if nothing else will settle this they use different weapons. Kadaj uses the double bladed katana and Yazoo uses the gun sword. i hope this settles this issue as well.

Elena and Tseng are Turks, Rufus leads the Turks, Kadaj proved something with the blood stained ID card and attempted to threaten Rufus into telling him where ''Mother'' was.

it may be a piece of his blade but that is the same scene posted above and i checked he has 4 swords that form his Buster Sword, they may be called different and counted different as their assembled but there are only 4. when his main sword is knocked out of his hand this is the one he uses in defense.

you never explained the Aeris Zack, Cloud Tifa issue who's hooked up and not and how and why.

Elena is one of the Turks. In FFVII, she was called in as a replacement for Reno when Cloud, Barret and Tifa kicked his ass.

If you remember in FFVII ending after the credis, it says "500 years later" and then you see Red XIII with his three small kids running

Now, AC, as to throw in an easter egg for the fans. They began the movie like the way FFVII ended, but since AC's events are two years after the ACTUAL events in FFVII, the movie says "498 years before"

they are tryin to get Jenova out of the northern crater, and Kadaj and his gang come along and attack them, thats why elena is screaming i guess... i am assuming that elena and tseng get captured, and that would explain the later scene with Kadaj and their ID cards.

have you played the game? these questions are pretty easy to answer if you have played the game, esp the elena one, as she has a notable role in it... if not, play the game!! it will make the movie so much more enjoyable.

When Vincent saves Cloud, and Marlene finds them, she turns to Vincent and asks him if he has 'it'. He then holds out his cloak and lets it drop, and she exclaims 'unbelievable'. Why? I mean, I know she hides under it later, when she argues with Cloud, but why is Vincent's cloak (If that's what she's referring to) so important to her? And why would she think he doesn't have it?

Yeah, that was a really badly-phrased question, but it's the only thing that's been bugging me, apart from when the camera shakes earlier on in that scene, when Vincent grabs Clouds Geostigma'd arm, but I worked that one out for myself. :D *Gasps of disbelief*

No, what happens is this: She asks him if he has a phone, he shows his cloak which is empty, and the she says something along the lines of "unbelievable" (depending on which fansub you are watching) as if to say "get with the times Vincent". Marlene runs to Vincent because Marlene is unhappy that Cloud 'never listens'. Marlene already knows that Vincent is part of the crew before this.

Tifa didnt cut her hair, the character designers did. Shes not a real person. So it has nothing to do with it getting in her way. I'm guessing the designers shortened it so it doesn't look too much like a game/manga style. They did the same with all pretty much all the other characters. Sephiroth still has two big lumps of hair sticking up, but it doesnt stick up as much, thankfully. Otherwise everyone would look like they use 3 tubes of hair gel in the morning.

I'm guessing they left the giant moogle out because it would look stupid. Cait Sith himself already looks quite out of place. At the beginning of the movie theres also a different girl holding a moogle doll. Theres no reason for it to be THE MOOGLE of cait sith, its just a doll.

Every playable character from FFVII (as well as Marlene) has a pink ribbon. Vincent's is on his right forearm.

Indirectly. According to the DVD commentary, the wolf is a symbol of Cloud's guilt.

I think he said he dragged it soo much referring to when Tifa said he was dragging around earlier, the whole Zuruzuru Zuruzuru thing. Also saying in a way he resolved his problem of needing forgiveness.

Because i thought that that was the sword that you saw when you first see Kadaj and the gang and i cant remember Cloud ever picking it up.

I don't think they would bother showing Cloud going a long way finding back the sword...but he sure got it back alright.

so when is the fight when he see him use it? is it in the Cloud vs Kadaj fight when tifa is trying to explain the 'feeling he had two years ago' cause the sword that flew out of clouds hand and stuck in the wall had that red ridge on it which the buster sword you see when cloud has those flashbacks with zack doesnt.

Also, another question, why does Kadaj take the children and make them drink the water? is it just to make cloud come to them or is there a reason i missed?
