Seeing since Square Enix are in sequel mode and the idea of a prequel has been mentioned on this forum, here's one:-

What about a prequel with many different stories. Your first story could be set 1000 years ago explaining the war between the two cities and it could centralised around Lenne and Shuyin and explain in full what really happened.

Then the story of Sin. How it came to be and how it terrorised Spira for a thousand years.

Then the pilgrimage of Braska but looking at it through the eyes of Auron. And then it could all end with Kimhari finding Yuna.

Anyone buy this ****?

It would be pretty cool to see the Bevelle-Zanarkand war in full view and Yu Yevon as a human and the creation of Sin and all, really.

I've never been a fan of games based around preexisting stories. If you're allready familiar with the story then there is little to no surprise, and I end up complaining that they did it wrong. We allready know the basic story, how much of what they do will really be all that surprising? Discovering during the story that Summoners didn't survive the battle with Sin was a surprise (not a terribly big one considering no mention is ever made of them in the present tense but a surprise none the less.) But knowing that Zanarkand is ultimately destroyed, knowing that Yevon bastard spawns Sin, and knowing numerous other tidbits would kill my enjoyment of any sort of prequel. What I'd rather see is a full Blitzball game in of itself, with the option of either playing the FFX version or the X-2 version.

Yeah I know what you mean ...

But it goes along the lines of FFX-2 when people don't play FFX first or bother to complete it.

Why do people do that? It's like reading a book series bass ackwards.
