She was he mother, yes she was in the Esper Word for most of the time (But she was human) and she had a Baby (Terra) from an Esper called Maduin (Whom you will find in Vector) she was involved in a state of wether the "door" should stay open or not and many of the espers (Sans Maduin) wanted her out of their worlds The empire attacked and The Door was Seald Leaving Madonna beween worlds and she was found by Gehstahl who finished her of and Stole Terra...

"Madonna" literally means "mother". That's why some people refer to Mary (mother of Jesus) as "the madonna". Hence, the name. They really didn't develop any of her, she was just put in to fill a small spot.
