Turns out that I'll have to be away from home from about noon of the 25th to the 28th to NoComputerLand...unless I find a Net Cafe or a library or something...if I have time, so it would be great if all of this could be moved up just one day if possible. That way I could step down on the 24th or even on the morning of the 25th and then I'll be gone anyway so it would all fit in with me having to be away from the computer. I'm going to miss most of the fun though. :(

If it can't be moved up a day, then you can just put me into the No Title usergroup on the 25th or 26th and mention somewhere that I've stepped down in disgust, or something.

Once Feedback goes I think we should take it into GC (or maybe Help), but I also think it is a good idea that EoEO doesn't see any of it.

I think eest should be brought in on the joke ASAP so that he can adopt the proper attitude. We can't have him siding with the anti-staff group. March 24 (North America) - kishi posts porn, Big D 'edits' the post and kishi is banned by 'Unne'This will actually happen on the 23rd. Theoretically one of the subsequent steps will take an additional day to even that out and have everything still end on the 2nd or 3rd.
March 25 - kishi is reinstated and banned again and reinstated again, 'Unne' steps down because he has had enough, this hopefully generates instant feedback (announcements can be used to draw attention to it)
March 26-27 - Big D quits out of disgust, Leeza follows soon after, Feedback starts to get out of hand
March 28 - BoB makes an LJ entry asking for a staff cuddle which of course gets out of hand and generates mass drama, Yams can't take the heat and leaves
March 29 - Feedback Forum is removed causing Del Murder to quit this nazi regime
March 30 - New mods added
March 31 - Everything comes to a head (Maybe in GC or Help Forum)
April 1 - Everything goes back to normal with no explanation
April 2 or 3 - APRIL FOOLS EVERYBODY!!! :) :tongue:

Roogle: When you "remove" Feedback, make sure a) you move it into Staff so we can easily restore it, and b) set the permissions on it correctly, otherwise people could still access it via URL even though it'd be a subforum of Staff, which might be bad :p Probably better to change the permissions before moving it.

As for the thread hiding, are we just going to move everything into Staff (***CENSORED***), or soft delete the threads so only staff can still see them? I'd personally prefer soft delete so we can restore threads to the correct forum more easily, but that might not be important. We could also be moving/hiding the appropriate threads in Feedback while it's hidden, so it's ready to be restored in one go, instead of doing it all last minute :p

That's the plan - we have to 'erase' all evidence of what happened apart from the fact that we have two new Knights, and then whenever we are asked about it, we do NOT say "April Fools!", we simply say "I don't know what you're talking about. :)" and let them feel stupid. :D We can say April Fools 1-2 days after California has left April Fools day. Oh, and we'll have to do all of this using PST (California time).

EDIT: Actually, it's probably just members like Del Murder and ShlupQuack... I like Big D's stuff because people don't know him hugely well, but Murd and Shlup have been around for years longer and I just really can't see them ever being moody at EoFF. Maybe Shlup might get frustrated and insult someone but I can't see certain others here doing it. It's just too weird. xD It'd be like me saying EoFF can burn in hell for all I care, or something. Everyone would know I'm joking. But for now I think it's best to just wait for the Kishi stuff.

EDIT: It's also notable that while everyone is doing the ban-unban-ban-unban thing with Kishi, we won't need to say anything. The members will create the drama on their own - we're getting close to April Fool's Day now and people will start to wonder. It would be best if you didn't actually act as a different person but just acted as if all this was serious. In other words, you don't need to make a huge deal in General Chat when Kishi is banned. The members will do that kind of thing on their own, hopefully. Us being quiet and simple about it is much more realistic and will be cause a hell of a lot more drama.

I think we should do what I said and post a second thread (or continue this one) and post "mock posts" regarding the issue - so that way everything will happen in real time. If you think that Raistlin won't notice, don't worry, he will. That guy finds out everything, one way or another. He doesn't have to see it to know what happened. Also, he's not the only one we're trying to dupe, I expect a hell of a lot of people to get involved in this. eest can start a thread in Feedback, he doesn't have to get bitchy or anything, just asking why Kishi was banned and then unbanned or something. This will be perfect as it will encourage everyone else.

I think Unne banning Kishi / stepping down would be most logical because it's something that I'd believe could happen, but since Unne isn't really getting involved in things, we can't guarantee he'll play along and that could bugger up our plans. I think Daryl would be the logical replacement but if she doesn't want to, I guess I can. If Unne is going to be manipulated, we need to make sure he's at least aware, given that he's now got AIM open relatively often and anyone can message him.

Ok, now for this april fools thread business. This whole time I was thinking that we should have a fake prank ready in case this scenario comes up, but I forgot to mention it. Anyway, I think if we ignore Psy's post it looks bad. I see two options:

1. A serious member like D (since he did the banning and has been disgruntled) or Leeza (since she's always on the up and up) should go in there and tell him that it is not a prank, and then maybe add something about how we had something planned but this might push it back.

2. I go in there and tell him it <i>is</i> a prank. A little reverse psychology (no pun intended). I'll say something like 'how'd you guess?' or 'You are way too smart for us'. Give them so much of the truth that they can't possibly believe it. I will work on my reply post while you guys decide.

Another thing I thought was why should we revert on April 1st? That's when they'll expect it most if they do suspect something. I think we should revert on the 2nd instead, so as April 1st passes by, they start wondering if something will happen, and hopefully they'll have lost hope towards the end. Or something :p


Well, even if they do find out, I think we should duplicate/censor/move this thread public anyway - I don't think they'll catch everything we planned and actually carried out building up these events, like D seemingly being ignored, or the to-be knights that we keep after all this :p And it might be interesting to see what they have to say about a thread like this :p
