Those are obviously PS2 graphics, and it's extremely rare for games to switch consoles mid-development.

It wont be released on that date. Late 2006 will more than likely be the earliest. 2007 is now looking the most likely time for release.

The PS3 will be out in 2006 and 2007. That's way too late to release a big-name PS2 game. I expect late this year or early 2006. Of course, it'll be out in Europe sometime in 2036.

I dont think theres any hope for it to make this year. Theres been no info on it for ages which doesnt mean Squares not well into the project but when I look at games like KH2 which were suggested to be released in christmas 2004 when first seen but have now been pushed into 2006 I really couldnt give DoC much hope of a 05 release for Japan.

Crisis Core is still slated for a 2006 release, so I'd imagine that early 2006 would be accurate for DoC.

SO. To be honest, I'm not too terribly excited about this game, most likely because not much has been released concerning it. Which I agree means, (if I read this correctly...) that it won't be out any time soon. But I don't really care all that much, and now we're right back at the beginning again.

so i would of thought it being revealed with pictures and a trailer about 3 years before relase would probably be no point

a main character

SE has a lot of projects, but I'd imagine FF takes the forefront in their priority list just because of how they're almost guaranteed a hit. 2006 would be a good estimate.

The graphics on DoC don't look too good judging by the pictures. Perhaps thats just because they are early in development pictures.

I currently live in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.

I think the graphics will be good (as expected from Square), and I can't wait for this game to be released, as it will definately revoutionise the Final Fantasy series.

Final Fantasy is evolving rappidly on to cinema, cellphones, and different genres.

It is sad to see something so classical, be transformed into a modernised, materialistic scheme on Square's behalf, yet it is still exciting to see new and original ideas being created.

i hope it's not a first person shooter! it doesn't look like it is, to me anyways. i find FPS's to be kind of hard to control sometimes. i really like the way DMC's battle style was *_* I hope it's like that. Best First Person Shooter game I've played was Golden Eye 007 for N64

seeing those trailors...it looks like it's gonna be third person...probably sniper mode will be first person like in most games
