Has anyone played through this yet? Does your equipment always start out empty or is that because I always unequip people before they die?

Your party's stats and equipment reflect how they were in the main game when they died. So, the second one.

I did unequip them. It's a pain, but you can make it to town. Then buy new equipment and level up!

Weapons true, but I usually only kept for sets of the best armor so it was needed for me.

Armor with high defense rates cripples a character's Evasion, Intelligence & Soul. It's not always good to give everyone the most expensive equipment.

Strange as it seams when I got minwu I only used his magic in the dungeons never outside. Thats why I gave him only the best. Does scotts equipment reflect gordans equipment and how often do you get each charechter?

As for your first question, I'm almost positive that the answer is no. I could be wrong, but I think I remember him having completely different stuff initially. As for your second question, I'm not sure what you're asking.

Do you mean how often do you get new characters in Soul of Rebirth? Because if that's what you mean, You only get Scott, Minwu, Josef and Ricard for the entire game. If you mean something else, well, I'll probably be able to tell you that too. :)

I meant inside the game not SOR like you get gordan during kashoun and the dread nought and palmcia and you get him twice.

Once you get someone, you keep him.
