(No, I am NOT referring to D12's "My Band"--mess with that all you want, and I'll help.)

What's your "untouchable" band? The band that you simply will not allow people to badmouth in front of you, no matter how rational you normally are?

My "untouchable" band: The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Not exactly a band... but when people badmouth Bic Runga, bad things happen to them.

Of course, this doesn't affect people who're merely expressing an opinion, such as "I don't like her songs". It only applies to genuine badmouthing.

I'll let people be entitled to their opinions, but I don't like it when people bash Nine Inch Nails.

I don't mind people critisizing bands I like. It just means they're wrong.

I don't like it when people criticise any band that I like.

I guess the worst would be Pink Floyd, though I don't let much band-bashing get to me.

Yeah, that's pretty much it for me. I'm normally pretty understanding, and I don't really get mad in a serious sense, but talking bad about the Chili Peppers usually garners a "wtf" response from me.

People don't critisize the bands I like, because the bands I like are actually impossible to be critisized.

People don't criticise the bands I like, because they haven't heard of them.

I don't care about badmouthing my favourite band (The Smashing Pumpkins), because it used to garner a response from me. They bash it deliberatly, so I ignore or grin.

I don't like it when people bash The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Faith No More and Rage Against The Machine... But i'm not really bothered when they do, since most of the time, it's people who listen to music that I don't like, so I can just bash those bands.

Same here. They're still original, still energetic, still a unified band, thye still rock, they have amazing chemistry, they spread the message of peace and love....blah blah blah........

oh yeah....and they still create amazing music. I still actually listen to all their albums, including Blood Sugar Sex Magic and even Freaky Styley quite often.

People tend to bash Grace Jones just because they're scared of her.

Blood Sugar Sex Magic and The Uplift Mofo Party Plan.
When you consider how great these albums are, it makes me even more angry when people badmouth the Chili's.

It doesn't matter that you belittle them; they'll still jump out at you after being run over, after stepping out of their caravan bleary eyed after too much gin and tonic, after everything.

I don't have a band that is completely 'untouchable' since no band is perfect. Even my favourite musicians have flaws that I am willing to admit, and while I enjoy their music in spite of this, those same flaws might put other people off.

That doesn't mean I won't argue the case for my band if someone attacks them, but it doesn't bother me when others don't like my music. They're the ones missing out, after all.

I dont care what people say, The bands i listen to are always getting critizesed. Im like, one of (there are others)the only girls who like Rock music. They all like Club, so my bands are looked down upon. And none of you like The Rasmus do you, Im always getting told "They suck"
