Well, what your your favorite period in history be?

Mine is from 1900-1950, or, more specificly, World War II. I don't know why, but it has always, and continues to, fascinate me.

That's like WWI and WWII combined. You greedy pig.

I like the Renaissance Period. A lot of great artwork came out then.

I'm interested in Euro-Mediterranean history from about the fall of the Roman Empire to about the Romantic Period. In fact if I ever go for a Masters in history I will specialize in that area.

*smacks Yams* :p

Oh, forgot:

My second-favorite period would be the Julio-Claudian period of the Roman Empire. I, Claudius is one of the best historical fiction books ever written, and really got me interested in the time period.

I enjoy learning about the age of Greek mythology.

By the way, it's medieval, for whoever asked earlier.

Any sort of history that has the mafia involved with it facsinates me very much.

It's Western European Middle Ages. The rest of the known world was flourishing during that time.

I know that, I meant if I had to choose a time between 1900 and 1950 it'd be the WWII era. Jeez, so problematic. :)

Ancient Egyptain/Roman/Greek empires are intresting. I like the Potemly reign of Ancient Egypt, particularly Cleopatra's reign, witch is during the time of Julius Cezar as well  The fall of the Egyptain empire was so sad  Curse you Octavian!!!

Late 1700s during the Romantic era or Ancient Greece during the Golden Age of Athens. :)

It really depends on what period of history I am thinking about at that given moment. The majority of history tends to be fascinating (With the exception of the 'Age of Exploration' God... what a bore. :rolleyes2)

Just for the sake of choosing something, I will pick the 1800's to the 1900's. I say this because of my current fascination with music, and the greatest music of all time came from that era.

Oh snap!

I like learning about all kinds of history, so I can't really pick a favorite. If I HAD too, I'd probably say Ireland at the turn of the 20th century.

i like the medieval, and the 1700's-now.

Medieval:your either a knight or a ninja. (schweet!) :D

the 1700's: your probably a pirate with a bitchin pirate ship, or your just awesome in general. plus, it was impossible to get caught for crimes back then! vampires also got popular around here too.

the 1800's: well, i dunno, i just like this time period. it just sounds so...cool. your also probably a vampire in new orleans if you lived here.

the 1900's. well, aside from the depression and the Nazi's, the 30's were pretty badass, cuz all you did was drink coke, eat cheeseburgers and fight mobsters. now, it gets pretty bad in the late 30's-early 40's (WWII) and the 50's and 60's just sucked. but the 70's and up are awesome.

note: i may have over-romantisized all of these time periods.

I've always been a buff for military history, so WWII and the Civil War would have to be my favorite times.
