Sources confirm that THIS is the final design of the Xbox 360. Dosen't look too bad.

Here it is. (http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000293041091/)

EDIT: Yes, this is the real picture of it. Here's yet another pic, showing off the detachable hard drive.

Where do you put the controllers? :-/

The XBox 360 controllers are all wireless.

And yeah, it looks much better--and smaller--than the original.

It'll probably be backwards compatable.

Thank you, Joel, for using your x-ray vision to see through the case and into the internal programming for us.

That looks sexy!

That has made me laugh really hard, and I don't even own an Xbox. xD

I saw the picture on IGN yesterday, and they hadn't confirmed it as being real then, but it sure seems to be now. Pretty sleak, and very small, when you consider the width of a disk tray.

Hurrah! Now I can cancel my lease on that parking space I've had for my X-Box. Yes, even in this year, I shall continue to mock the X-Boxs' size. Is that correct grammar? X....Xs'....X's?

you're wrong.

They're trying to make it backwards compatible, but apparently they're having some trouble. So, it could go either way.

While it's a distinct possibility it won't be backwards compatible, I'm betting Microsoft is trying awfully hard to make it so--it would probably boost sales considerably.

Why don't you enlighten us as to how it looks chunky. Looks much more rounded and sleek than any other console has been.

It looks quite scary, cause it's got that whole "glowing thing" going, and it's like mixed Green AND White. It's tooooo scary for me and would stick out in my room.

If it's any bigger than the other one, I won't be able to fit it through the door, and therefore not buy it.

P.S. I'll wait for the PS3, thankyouverymuch.

Lindy that's the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. I just woke up and
it's real quiet and I click on that thing, I practically fell off my chair, then
when I turned the sound down and looked at the picture, I actually did.

While smaller, it still looks like crap. It looks more like my VCR or DVD player rather than my video game system. F--

actually, i read in an interview with the PS3 developer that making systems backwords compatible is a very simple process, involving a simple emulator program. so that means either that microsoft is retarded or they think if they dont make it backwards compatible, people will buy an xbox and an xbox 360 which would equal more money. cuz they suck.

Correct me if I'm misguided, but is that ONE measly controller port I see? I spit on that.
As for Lindy's posted website, genius is the only word that comes to mind.

I think that's teh IR port, for recieving the controller's signals.

BTW, Attack of the Show said that some of them are renders, and most of the ones that are real are the ones released by OurColony.

Microsoft loses money on the XBox still and I do believe they have stopped production of the original so it wouldn't compete with the 360.

No comment on the emulation part though.

Dosen't really matter what the system looks like anyways, it's all about the gameplay capabilities. As long as I don't have a massive block sitting infront of my television, I'll be fine with how it looks.

Well, if it is backwards compatible, I'll probably get one within a year of its release. If it's not, it'll probably be more like 4 years.
