Okely day, I have one simple question. What on average were the levels of your characters when you moved into Kefka's Tower (And went all the way to the end)? Because I'm leveling up in the World of Ruin (I'm averaged at around lvl 45) and just wondering how much more I should go.

When I play through normally, it's usually 35, maybe 40. I've done it once with everybody at or around lv. 25, and I've done it with only Celes, Edgar, and Setzer, all three of 'em above level 90. I guess it depends on how good you are and how much you know what to do, but I'd say 45 should work just fine.

Just make sure you do everything else before you go to beat it, and you should be at a good enough level. There's plenty to do.

35-40.

If you're at level 45, you can cream Kefka pretty easily. I mean, you get, like, 13 dudes or something to beat him. That's like level 400+.

All the characters I had were Lv.99. It took ages, but I'm an obsessive when it comes to leveling (sp?) up. All those hours fighting the Tumbleweeds. :rolleyes2

I had six or so characters at 99. All the ones I liked most... Poor bastard never stood a chance.

anywhere from 25-30 depending on how early I get certain espers etc. usually I am at 28-29, It is tough, but I have beaten the game using every challenge except for the single character/natural magic game. I just haven't felt the need to do that one. Guess eventually I will, but not now.

Around 40's with majority characters casting Ultima or Cure 3 often. The tower collapsed in ten minutes give or take. More than likely take.

I actually completed it the first time I had a shot at the end. Wee I'm so pleased with myself. I'm currently playing it again, but I'll think I'll only level the characters up to about 50 this time.

Last time I fought him, somewhere around level 7-10. I went trough the whole game without leveling. :greenie:

I had all characters at level 99 except Gau.
With ALL the spells.
And since i levelled up in the Dinosaur Forest, I had so many Economizers and Ribbons I could have thrown them away. Poor Kefka, I tore him into fish bait.

Try fighting in the Dino forrest in your next playthrough. Once you get around the upper thirties it starts to get easy and yeilds more experiance. Exp. Egg also helps speed things up a little if you have it.

Me, I'm always at the end of the game in the 35-38 range with most spells learned and the best equipment I can scrounge up for the twelve people I take with me to the tower. The only problems I ever really have are with the third tier. Pearl Wind and Meteo can really bring a nice team down quickly. (Mertron helps more then it hurts with Fire absorbing equipment on.)

Another thing to point out, the higher level you are before you find (or re-find) a character, the higher level they are when you get 'em back. If Celes is level 99 when you start off the World of Ruin, then everybody you find will be in the high-90s.

(EDIT: The bad thing is, they have the experience, but not the magic.)

7-10? Don't be saying that kind of stuff around here man, I ain't got any boots on.

If you want more of a challenge and/or more experience, you can start going places with only one character in your party, if they can handle it. I believe the Magic Points you get don't change, but the Experience at the end of a battle is divided into however many characters are in your party...

Meaning, if you fight a battle with four characters and each gets 1000 Exp. and 2 Magic Points, if you fight the same battle with one character, they'll get 4000 Exp. and 2 Magic Points. Comes in handy.
