Quina was funny for an immature audiece such as me, he/she was fun. Ward and Kiros were fun characters playing off Laguna, they didn't have major storyline roles but they had a fun role and were good for the game.

Eiko, Amarant, Quina, Freya, even Steiner annoyed me. Zidane far overshadowed them. Brother from ffx-2 was bad, and the Guado from ff10. :O_O:

I never saw the point of Cait Sith and Red XIII first time I played ff7, but this second time around I actually felt for them. lol :) so i can say I now like everyone in ff7.

i thought Aeris was interesting. And Tifa was a saint , although i liked aeris more and yuffie was funnier.

Rinoa from FFVIII. She had very little to do with the story other than an extremely contrived and uncrealistic romance plot. She was an irritating whore, to boot.
My sentiments exactly. You should definitely be able to let Rinoa fall to her death when she's clinging on to the side of garden. I mean you can take as long as you like to go and rescue her and she's still there clinging on to the side of garden like the parasite she is. We Rinoa haters should at least be able to see a movie scene of her falling to her death even if we do have to start again from the last save point and do actually have to let her live. We have our hopes set up so many times that shes gonna die its so unfair that she lives, lets hope that all that changes when they bring out a sequel......:D Now for chracters I dislike tho non of them no where near as much as Rinoa. Brother, need I say more?, freaky retard that he is. Cid Highwind. Foul mouthed, whingy, moody, and he's supposed to be 32! he reminds me of someone twice that age. And Barrett, he's a nark too. Steiner groveling little creep, and the same applies to Shelinda. And Yuna what a geek. Wakka well he's just irritating in general. And Cid from FFVIII he's not fit to be running garden the old bum. And Xu and Nida how boring and desperate for some attention are they? Irvine... what a perv. Amarant what a useless waste of space he is, plus, not just is he a waste of space, he's making the place look ugly.

I didn't find Squall boring, he had more character development (not as in past but through the game) then any other FF character (in ones I've beaten). He was also the only FF character that you could really see what he was thinking. If you didn't like his character than this doesn't matter much but I found himto be the most interesting main character in any FF, due to the way he thought. The most important thing to me in RPG's is characters, wihtout that I don't enjoy the story much, and FFVIII showed the most character thought is any game I've played (I also loved how it was done).

On subject (all my holy opinion), Paine was terrible, her jokes weren't funny, lines like "kick... it's... ass" are not good lines. She was dull (you can claim comparison with characters I like, for example Squall but I won't argue against that now) as she never said anything but facts or stop joking around. I din't see much character and her backstory like the rest of the story in FFX-2 was weak. I never felt any empathy for her character and she pissed me off so much. The deep emotional pain she was supposed to be feeling was not developed at all, leaving her a jerk without reason. And oh yeah the reason was a guy had shot her in her friends in the back. With Squall for example this happened but with him it was something inside him that he thought about and pushed away, with her, let's be honest her character never changed and even in the CS scenes her character wasn't different. So I was led to believe that she was always like that, just a jerk with no thought. Worst character ever.

Next on my list is Aeris, see my posts and Abominatrix's posts for why (in the why do you hate Aeris thread).

And finally while I was OK with Yuna in X-2 (yes that's what I said) I couldn't stand her in X. I can't stand naive people like that and couldn't stand her (in my mind I'm not naive and therefore am not hated). This could be another reason for disliking Aeris, I usually like the upbeat character like her such as Selphie, Eiko or Rikku, but Aeris was terrible (not as upbeat but she was pretty upbeat).

Those last few paragraphs were just to make this post seem on subject the defense of Squall is the importan part.

I agree. The characters in that movie aren't even fit to be described as characters they didn't have a personality between them. The only slight enjoyment you could get out of that hellish monstrosity of a movie is watching those bovine characters get slaughtered at the end. My brother felt guilty for taking my dad to see that trash on his birthday:( :mad2:

I agree, Aeris is the worst. First she liked Zack, but then he's gone and she jumps to Cloud which is fine but then what does she do when she dies, she runs back to Zack. Aeris is a skank and I hate her for it. Thanks goodness Sepheroth shares my feelings about skanks, thats why he killed her, so we didnt have to watch any more of her desperate emotions for cloud.

I agree that brother was very annoying, Square should never had made him into a main character.

FFX-2 is only meant to be 2 years after FFX, Brother has learnt a hell of a lot of English since then. it dosnt take that long to learn another language. I went to france and lived there for six months. I could have a conversation with a random person on the streets there u go:cool:

He might've seemed a little annoying at times, but I guess he's been brought up to be like he is, spoiled perhaps, living in Zanarkand... A cross-dresser!? That's the Zanarkand Abes kit, you fool. ;) He can't really decide upon what that looks like, and he doesn't even look bad in those clothes anyway.
