I love vegemite and marmite. Not on their own. They need to be combined to experience the full sensation.

I've only heard of vegemite in that Men at Work song, "Down Under". I'll be needing to try that now :)
I don't like marmite. I don't HATE it, but it's rather dirty. I don't mind it spread on the thinnest layer possible over my toast.

They're both "yeast extracts", a type of sandwich spread. Vegemite is the superior version. It's like the savoury while marmite is the sweet. <3 Vegemite. I always keep a jar of it around. And I buy more of it before that jar runs out. Love it. Especially with cheese, in a sandwich, heated in the microwave. :) Mmm.

It was only 6 years 2 months out of date, but it tasted alright.

i can't believe you people have never heard of Vegemite! well, it is a very Aussie thing! That's probably why you heard it in Land Down Under

*sings very badly and off-tune* I asked him do you speak-a my language? He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwhich!

But whatever you do, do not have it bye itself. I've tried it, alot of people have, its disgusting. But with bread, or Vita Wheat's and cheese....YUMMY!

Infact, the other month on Rove Live (its kinda like Jay Leno, except much better [Matt Damon actually said it is much better than any American talk-show]), some winner off survivor said that they had never tried it before, so Rove got some Vegemite and bread, and she asked to eat it by it self...not a good thing to do!...but she did! and regreted it!

yes, i love marmite. my friends and i decided that people dont like marmite because when they first tried it, they spread it on their toast like chocolate spread- i.e. a massive amount.
that much marmite on your first taste isnt gonna be great. You need to start off with a small amount and you gradually increase it......:D

I like eating spoonfuls of marmite, YUM! :p
