I found this while searching for British words. xP~


The European Commission has just announced an agreeement under which English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, Her Majesty's government conceded that English's spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a five-year phase-in plan that would be known as EuroEnglish.

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.

The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of the "k". This shall klear up konfusion and keyboards kan have one letter fewer.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year, when the troublesome "ph" will be replased with the "f". This will make words like fotograf 20 per sent shorter.

In the third year, publik akseptance of the new spelling kan be expected to reach the stage where more komplicated khanges are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters, which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of the silent "e" in the language is disgraseful, and they should go away.

By the fourth yar, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" vith "z" and the "w" vith "v".

During the fitz yar, ze uneseary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and similar khanges vud of kors be aplid to ozr kombinations of leters.

After ze fitz yar, ve vil hav a realy sensibl vriten styl. Zer vil be no mor trubls or diflkultis and evryvun vil find it easy tu understand each ozer.

All of my ethnic background is European (as American is a NATIONALITY, not an ethic background) and even I agree that that article sucks. xD I wish I could change the French language to my liking. IRREGULAR VERBS BE GONE!

I would too. I get paid good money for combat, and tax-free too. We'll go with France, backstabbing bastards, it'll only take 'em a day or two to retreat, then we can come back home.

I'm glad you think that way DMKA, but I'd have to disagree with you. And though somebody disagrees with you to the point of being labeled a "redneck", I highly doubt any thus redneck would envy any aspect of your sense of pride. And there are a lot of non-American things that aren't "wrong".

This is the first time I've read this article...humorous as it is, it may shed some light on the theory that a one-Europe union may be more dangerous than it seems.

I would just make French identical to english. Then we would have no troulbes at all.
