i just read it, it was disgraceful. they had ffiv ahead of ffvi. iv was #9 and vi was #43. as much as i like iv, vi still pwns it any day of the week. also secret of mana was like 80 something. and like you guys were saying vii wasn't even on it, thats pathetic, pathetic i tell you!

Actually, Star Wars, released in 1983, was ranked 29 on the list. FFVII was not included. I can only assume that, given that they don't matter, they tried to make a statement by skipping the game, based on their criteria, that probably should have been ranked first.

Of course, this list also ranked Wave Race 64 ten spots in front of FFVI. I think it's pretty clear that the list is slightly less legitimate than the Ben Lansing Aeris resurrection rumor.

That is the worst list I have ever seen. It's an absolute abomination. FF7 should definitely be on the top 100 at least for goodness' sake.

Of course, a top 100 list is always biased by anyone who makes one, but to not have FF7, possibly the most influencial RPG in history, on the top 100 is totally ludicrous.

That's a list compiled from their readers (you'll note that it contains 99 games, rather than 100). The list compiled by IGN itself included 100 games, none of which were FFVII. I'd just IGNore them; they're obviously pretty IGNorant. And, as has been mentioned several times, they don't really matter.
