View Full Version : Moogles
Since when there´s have been moogles in ff games? I mean, in which ff-game were moogles for the first time?
In ff9 they are obvious but I just noticed that there was a mention about moogles in ff8.
So are they almost like chocobos (in every game) or what?
I didn´t know that threre were moogles in other games than ff9 nor even mentioned earlier. :)

They first appeared in FFIII. The beavers that Guy talked to in FFII seem like precursors to moogles though.
Chocobos first appeared in FFII, so they have not in fact been in every game.

Awwwwww. That is now officially my favourite post ever.
What about names? Does moogles have different names in other ff games than in ff9? Is Mog the most used one?

The only games other than FFIX in which the môguri have proper names are FFVI and FFTA. In FFVI, they're Mog, Mogurin, Mogpu, Mogchi, Mogtan, Mogul, Mogshin, Mogpon, Mugmug, and Zumomog. In the American version, their names were changed to Mog, Kupek, Kupop, Kumama, Kuku, Kutan, Kupan, Kushu, Kurin, Kuru, and Kamog. In FFTA, they're Mont Blanc and his brother Nono.

Artemicion also crossed from FFIX to FFCC, right? Almost seems like there's enough crossover moogles to make a whole game about them...

It's possible. Squenix knows that people love moogles. I think the "moogle noise" is one of the best sounds ever invented.
