What awards have you received before that you're really proud of?

Yesterday I got a certificate from some teachers in front of the whole year group. It was a certificate for most after school detentions. it was really funny and I went up looking really scruffy with chocolate all over my face and hunny all over my shirt. Best award I've ever got!

LOL.

Hmm, big awards? Mostly nerdy stuff:

* being elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society
* graduating Summa Cum Laude from undergrad
* winning the Theatre Departmental Award in high school

and some athletic stuff:

* recieving the league sportsmanship award for high school tennis - that was cool
* a bunch of gold medals for dancing

I'm just that awesome I guess.

Don't worry, your not alone. I don't get them either.

I guess I'm just not special enough. :(

Nothing too un-nerdy. I got an award and some medallion for 'great achievement in chemistry' recently, and that's all I can think of now really.

I won "Most likely to become the president of the United States" at my prom. Not too shabby.

Uhm... I've gotten academic rewards, but I never tried for the award specifically so I don't think they're big deals. I'm more proud of getting second place in a balloon toss at my uncle's company picnic...

There was one time though in high school where my friend got a "High Honors" award for the math profeciency test and laughed because she was mad at me for always getting like one point higher on everything when she studies and I slack off... and then I showed her that I got "Highest Honors" and she hit me. It was amusing. xD

I got a trophy and certificate for getting the best IT results in courses at my college, which I was quite proud of, but things that mean more to me are stuff like, a little award from a Monkey Island website for a fanart I drew. ^_^

My best awards seem to be all in team sports - getting a trophy and medal for winning the netball tournament and the whole netball season; and then getting a medal for winning the 400m relay races for Athletics. I never really got any academic awards.

Erm.. I got a lot of awards in HS and before that ^^ I don't remember them all. There's a wall of debate trophies somewhere my parents have. When it comes down to it, they don't really mean anything....

perfect attendance, 4.0 gpa, 1's and 2's at solo and ensemble, First band second chair at all region twice, first chair second band at all region once, a large handful of dolling awards (http://www.snowy-day.net/stuff/dolls4-awards.html), first place at the regional math competition x2, first in a '24-game' tournament my fifth grade math teacher had, something in some junior little league tournament when I was like in second grade, and student of the month also around second grade.

and not much else.

but that ticks me off, when all these people less deserving are getting student of the month now:P

Last year(calendar) i got some honors award from the school for languages. Forget the name of it though, was one of those greek things. All in all, we got juice and cookies at the end.

Once I sort of won the lottery, got 52 dollars for getting most of the numbers. and ever since then ive been a chronic gambler woo :rolleyes2 jk

When I was in cub scouts I got a trophy for most realistic pine wood derby car, sweet! It was a Taxi.

And of course I have one of those generic soccer trophies that everyone gets no matter what when your five.

Few academic and extracurricular awards, plus a couple of sports medals.

I'm still waiting on my Nobel Prize, though.

Too many to count (many of them are mostly insignificant at this point)

I have been on the Dean's List for a few years straight and holding a 3.9 GPA in the university.

I got awards for writing this crappy high school poetry.

I freaking HATE poetry! I purposefully wrote nonsensical crap and I was actually rewarded for it. It's like the movies. Bleah.

I also lost a Spelling Bee once. Oh, wait...

And I've won chess tournaments.

And I've won chess tournaments.

I've done that. I think a couple of people left, and I was like third or something. So they gave me a shirt.

That happened another time. FOX16 was holding this X-Files trivia thing in their chat one night. I managed to go there at that time, answered like two questions

If I hadn't mentioned that I was only 10 at the time, I could've gone to Little Rock the next morning during business hours to pick up my prize (I think it was a mug or something)

Yay for people that actually know their stuff leaving prematurely!

I've won some awards here and there.

I got a red belt a while ago in Tae Kwon Do. That was sick. I've gotten some awards from other places too, but they're dumb. My favorite award so far is the one that I got from God that proves that I'm way better than everyone at everything. It's pretty tight. It's made out of gold and diamonds. It's worth, like, a trillion dollars.

I have 2 medals for netball, 4 certificates in gymnastics but my all time favourite certificate was the one I got on the last day at high school 'please don't pick on me to answer questions in class' award for 'hiding behind textbooks'

No, although the award idea was based off something that I have actually done, so it's rather fitting. Just like looking for my glasses while wearing them, or looking for my comb when it's still in my hair, or my phone while it's in my pocket etc.

I always look for my cell phone while I'm talking on it ._. And then I'm like, "GAHH I can't find my phone and I'm late!!" and the other person is like "Ummm... aren't you..." and I'm like "Oh yeah ^_^"
