Yes, and the movie is based extremely loosely upon the book. The book is a collection of short stories, not an action-filled kill-the-robots tale. The book is great...can't say so much for the movie.

I ROBOT SUCKED. Ten minues uin the movie and I feel like buying Starters shoes, driving home in a Mercadies to listen to my JVC home sterio system, drop of a package at USPS, and having a bottle of Heienkin.

Worst... movie... EVER!

Will Smith lost his touch as an actor. Plus his character role towards the end was stupid. How he was a Half robot

yes, because Isaac Asimov clearly copied off the Wachowsky brothers.

I think Smith just peed all over Asimov's grave in this film.

Maybe they were inspired by what might have happened in I, Robot's future. I'll admit I was getting that same feeling considering what I saw of Animatrix. I thought it was a decent movie. I think some people's expectations are too high. They don't make good movies anymore. Live with it (:

...Though I really don't think Will Smith's acting had anything to do with the movie's advertising or it's plot, wether it was good or bad.

I was dissapointed. I didnt think it was that great and the robots were absaloute wankers. This is what a classy shiny tinted blue robot should look like-

Yes, because all robots made to save humanity against aliens should have blue hair and tits.

Yes, because all robots made to save humanity against aliens should have blue hair and tits.

Damn straight.

I didn't mind the movie so much. A masterpiece? Nah, but entertaining anyway, especially the parts where Sonny whoops some butt. While it's emulation of the book was, well, not there, the action sequences and special effects were good enough for me to be content with the souless action flick I was looking for.

Also: <3 Maddox.

i Robot was a pretty good movie, and no, I don't think that it is in anyway related to the Matrix.

I don't think he was literal. It's just that if you saw Animatrix, the skits talking about when the Robots became sentient and created their own country and then took over mankind sounded a lot like what happened in I, Robot.

Yup, sounds the same, but they are different movies in different dimensions. :D

I, Robot wasn't that bad. I did hate the obvious advertising, but whatever.

I rather enjoyed the movie for what it was, which, for me, was an action movie with a little mystery thrown in. I've never read the book, so I can't compare it to that, but as a stand alone piece, I'd say it was quite good.
