Did your HS make the list?

Springbrook came in at #175. However, there were like, 6 local high schools that made it into the top 100. The highest was #11, which was Richard Montgomery.

Not like this matters since HS sucks, but eh.

Wow, I'm surprised, my school came in a 610. It should've been left off the list completely.

I had a lot of friends who went to Troy, which came in at 21. Lots of crackheads and binge drinkers at that school. They're all really smart though. :)

Is there a search function? :exdee:

I guess you can use CTRL+F to find your school. What's more interesting that you can do is type in the search "(your abbreviated state here)". I'm not going through that list of 1000, that's for sure...but eh.

Top 1000? How did they manage that?

"Hmm, I think this school should be 432nd."
"No way! It should be 433rd"
"What are you smoking!? It is definately 435th."

Etc.

I thought schools like Andover and Exeter would have made the list.

Also...
**Percent of student body that is eligible for free and reduced lunches, an indicator of socio-economic status. A number of 40 percent generally signifies a high concentration of children in poverty.
There are no ** schools on the list.

No, with good freaking reason. My school is one of the top drug using schools in the country.

Oh geez, Paschal was at 136. Gag me with a spoon. They have about 50 good kids at that school, and the rest are complete idiots. It's those 50 kids that do EVERYTHING for that freaking school. Thus, I hate them.

:O DIAMOND HILL-JARVIS? That school is as ghetto as can be. You have got to be KIDDING me.

There's something wrong with this list, because Southwest isn't on it. You've got schools like O.D. Wyatt ahead of us, and that's a horrible school. We're better than Western Hills and Heights, too. That list is a joke. I mean, Diamond Hill and Wyatt? They make every single person who takes an AP class at our school take the AP test for that class - I'm not even sure how many AP classes Wyatt and Diamond Hill have.

They missed our school or something, because there is no possible way that Wyatt and Diamond Hill are on this list ahead of us.

Neither of my schools made it.

I did spot something though:

We won't either, yuna_elena, seeing how so many of us go to crap schools^_^

Supposedly mine was one of the '100 top technology schools' like in 2000 or something.

Apparantly, my school is one of the worst in the whole of Scotland... That's great, isn't it? :D

My school did not make the list.

Also, I think the image used to promote this list is racist.

Just look at the banner.

My school has one of the top drug and pregnancy rates in the country. I'm not even going to bother looking. @_@

I don't see it as racist. Why do you believe that it is?

They choose 3 students to represent "The top 100 High Schools in America."

All three are Indian women!

That is a very skewed and very stereotypical image, and I would slap MSN on the wrists if I could.

Imagine if there were an article on "The bottom 100 High Schools in America," and the three students chosen for the image were African American or Latino men. The racism is obvious.

Get over it. If "The Top 100 High School in America" image looked like this:

http://www.harunyahya.com/indo/buku/images_terorisme/klu_klux_klan.jpg
I would see your point as valid.

Though statistics show Asians are clever (and also more likely to get obese and have NIDDM) while Latinos and Blacks are underachieves. If it is based on statistics it is not classed as discrimination.

Not surprisingly, my school didn't make the cut. It's pretty middle of the road in every sense of the term.

The only Fresno-area high school to make the list, ironically enough, was my school's rival campus. Punks.
