A May or June American release date seems kinda long i think it would only be like Febuary or march ::Fingers Crossed:: but a realease date...that makes me even more excited. :hyper:

I can't imagine that it would take more than four months following the Japanese release to get Advent Children released in North America. This isn't a game, where there's tons and tons and tons of text to translate. They've already translated a good 20 minutes of the film (as made evident by the Montreal, Venice, and Paris film festivals), and it's probable that the rest has already been translated as well.

The only things that they'll really have to do at this point is record the English voice acting and market the thing.

Good point. When it comes to games, before shipping to America, the Japanese usually add a whole bunch of new stuff to the game. Chances are, a movie won't see the same treatment.

Makes sense. I think most people would just wait for it to be downloadable, and then they will watch it.
I would go pay to see it though if it's taking so long to make it. :)

Yeah, I'd probably buy it since I don't like watching that many htings on my comp and I can watch it in my room. But if this takes any longer than I guess summer next year, I'll probably have to download it, because by then, I won't want to buy it anymore

well i think the NA release date will be Xmas 2005 March 2006

they've already transltaed alot of the movie its already gotten hi media attention plus with all the fans waiting square will try and get it through to NA and UK as soon as possible

the less time between relases the more money made

Wahoo!! finally a date confirmed. Does seem rather a long time though, however as long as its concrete and doesn't get pushed back then I can deal with a september release no problem. DVD prices in Japan are generally much higher than they are in the States. 4800 yen is pretty standard.

Thirty bucks is standard for us, so that's what I'd expect. You should be able to find it for 20 pretty easily, though, if you know where to look.
