When you're finished visiting the forum for the day, do you usually log off? I never do, and as a result I'm logged in virtually all the time, unless I clear my cookies and history. Do you think it's bad to stay logged in all the time, as it's misleading as to whether or not you're active? Discuss. :)

I usually stay logged in. It's usually because I start shutting down my computer by instinct and I end up forgetting that I'm still logged in. If I stop to think about it, I'll log off, but usually no.

you get logged off after 30 minutes or so.

Nobody else uses my computer so I don't need to log out, unless I want to dabble in the pleasures of trying to remember my password when trying to log back in again.

I never log out.

Logging out would mean that I'd have to log back in, and I'm far too lazy to do that.

I never log in or out manually, unless I am at school, then I do.

What's the point?

No one else uses this computer, and even if they did, they'd be silly and use netscape, because it's the only thing linked on the desktop that's a webbrowser, or they'd go hunt down IE. Little do they suspect that by pressing the 'Connect' button they could inherit all my power!

Like I said, no one else uses this unless I know about it. Not much point in logging out anywhere.

If you mean sign out, then no, I never do that.

I do sometimes. It logs me out anyway when I close off my browser so there's almost no point in it though.

Only it i'm not on this computer. I never log out on this one though. My mom uses the computer also, but she doesn't come here, so it doesn't matter. She really should though... she'd learn from you guys... and she likes FF...

Logging off is good if you have a second account

I never log off. It works for me because atm no one I know irl needs to use my comp to post on EoFF, but back in the day the person had to make me relogin every time!

Not that it bothers me. :excited:

No logging off for me...unless I need to for some reason. My computer stays locked most of the time I'm away from it anyway.

There's a newbie answer :D

Well I only get logging of only when I'm on scholl... because I'm the only guy that goes to this site... :rolleyes2

Sometimes I get log of from my pc too. Because, I can give the wrong idea to the members that I'm on-line... but I'm not! I don't like the idea on be 23 miles away from my pc and thinking that my profile is on-line and the other members are looking for me or waiting for some kind of answer... which has already happened to me... :rolleyes2

What a hell is happening with you guys? It's good to keep up the exercise by logging in and logging off, it's good to make your hands moving... :D :D :D :D

You guys don’t really like to make physical efforts…

:D :D :D

My name is...something..?

Well of course not.
Doing that too often gets you wrists like Popeye. Who wants wrist like Popeye? No one.

I only log off when one of my family is about to go on the computer after me. The reason for doing so is beyond me.

I let the session timeout do it for me. I don't log out either, so my cookie won't expire for some ridiculous amount of years either.

Only when I have to use a different account, or when someone else coems over and they have to use their account, or something like that. Or if I have to log off to see what things look like for logged out users when I'm doing some kind of admin template work or something.

I'd rather exercise by making meaningful and long posts. Or just typing in our multiplayer notepad game.

I don't bother to remember passwords. Firefox does that for me. But I do have a hardcopy masterlist somewhere.

Each member of my family has their own seperate computer, so there's no real reason to log off.

Well, I always log off. I never used to, but then I realized if I ever wanted to be invisible, that would be more practical. I never go into Eyes on the World anyways, and to post in EoEo, I have to be in the right mood.

So logging off=sweet.
