How? How can a side only 2 places below lose 7-0?!?!?!

I mean you wouldn't expect Arsenal to beat Yeovil Town 7-0!

Did anyone else see the game?

The day players start using axes and trying to kill each other in sport is the day I watch the game.

And this is the team the F.A want to play in the Champions League next year even if Liverpool win the competition. Oh dear.

David Moyes made the players apologise to the travelling fans. Bloody right aswell.

I kno how strange, at the start of the season Arsenal were on fire, then they just all of a sudden turned crap, just barely scraping to get 1 or 2 goals, but last nite when I heard the result, i just laughed, mabye they are gettin bak to their former glory, too bad its quite late in da season ehh

Seems similar to the 116-76 game between Dallas and Houston.

I don't know much about basketball, but that nothing like that.

6-0's, 7-0's, 8-0's only bhappen every 5 or 6 years in the Premiership. What makes i worse is that Everton are only 2 places below Arsenal in the table.

May I remind you that Manchester United thrasted Arsenal 6-1 not too long ago, and they were a superior side to Everton. It happens, it's embarassing, but it happens to every team once in a while. Couple that with the fact it was a meaningless match. It's results throughout the season that count. Do not grudgingly dismiss Everton because of one very poor result. Over the season in the League, Everton faired better than Liverpool, it's that simple.
Regarding if Liverpool pull off the semmingly impossible against Milano in Turkey, I believe they SHOULD be allowed to play in the CL next season.

I surrport everton and am from merseyside (basically where everton is) and what I want to say is that we were beat by a boss team, and besides Everton-4th in the league Liverpool-5th, were the best team in merseyside!!!

40-point differentials in playoff games happen even more rarely, much less in game 7 of a series between the 4-seed and 5-seed.

were the best team in merseyside!!!

Erm no, you're not. Finish 4th again next year, do well in Europe, mount some serious Cup Runs, buy some quality players and beat us at Anfield, then Evertonians can start bragging. But the fact is, Everton had an abnormally good season. If they can repeat it, then fair play, but until then, the balance of power hasn't really shifted.

I want to see Manchester United pummel into oblivion!

no offence Doc Sark but can Liverpool beat a team that amanged to decimate Manchester United easily?

man Arsenal are really stormed for next season like a few teams who've had bad seasons excluding Newcastle! as long as we have numb nuts souness we're doomed

Sunderland in the premierleague i nearly died of shock when i heard the news but they are favourites to get releagted DIRTY MACKEM SCUM!

Well on one gave us a hope against Juventus or Chelsea and we beat them. Besides AC Milan looked average in the game against PSV and were lucky to win the tie. Don't get me wrong AC Milan are the better team on paper, but that counts for nothing in a cup final.

I'd go along with that statement. Plus, Man U were awful in their game against AC Milan, we're not likely to play that badly in a cup final.

Correct. They are coming back. They were relegated 2 years ago with the lowest ever points tally in the Premiership. 19. Mick MaCarthy has the necessary managerial expertise to keep them up though.

it was still Mick Macarthy after howard wilkinson and Peter Reid drove them down

its been 2 seasons since sunderland were in the premierleague

its about time other teams got a chance to shin in the league like Liverpool Everton Middlesbrough and Newcastle Sunderland have no chance they're a yo yo team up and down and up and down etc.

no offence but look at Man U a team that good has to fall sometime look at Nottingham forest they were uber at one team now they suck i thought thatd happen to arsenal but theyve recovered knowing man U theyll do the same

tomamar04
05-16-2005, 06:49 PM
I don't think so. Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and to a certain extent Aston Villa and Spurs have too much moey to go down.

NM
05-16-2005, 10:37 PM
Forest were only a decent team when Brian Clough was in charge. Other than those 10 odd years when he was in charge forest were and still are, crap!

And the chances of Man U getting relegated are slim to non-existent.

not in this generation

bu Man U have to experience the other parts of the tables of the premierleague

At worst Man United will finish next season 3rd. The top 3 are too good. The gap between Everton (4th) and Chelsea (1st) was bigger than the gap between Everton and Southampton (20th).

I want Arsenal to win, simply 4 the fast that I hate united, but I think united will win cuz arsenal don't ave Henry, but if they play like they did against Everton, we're in 4 sum match

Doc Sark

They can beat Man U without Henry, no problem. They've got something to prove after their dodgy league form against Man U this season.

I know they were doin so good this year, they had 49 victories in a row, and then united beat them, after that they havn't been their usual selves, just luckily gettin through with a goal or two, but that everton match should give them a good morale boost.

I blame Richard Wright for the above result. Granted, I didn't watch the game or anything, but in the 2 games Wright was in goal we conceeded 10 goals. >_>

And ah well, I knew Everton would lose anyway, so I wasn't overly bothered, I'm just glad we faired as well as we have during the season overall.

Arsenal can win without Henry! :O They've done it before, and hopefully do it again. I know they're a better team than to just depend on Henry all the time, awesome as he is. He just tends to overshadow his teammates is all. ^_^

OMG that match was crap, I wanted arsenal to win, but united deserved it, they played the best continually, no way arsenal should've won.
I feel sorry for Scholes too, he must feel like .

But my mind is mainly focussing on wednesday, c'mon liverpool.
