What's the stupidest thing anyone has ever said to you on or about the internet?

I remember someone telling me they'd "haxxed" their firewall so they could get AIM to work, in the end I found out they'd just turned it off when later on they asked me how you could turn a firewall back on.

When I used to play Starcraft years ago, I remember every single person threatening me when I won "I'm going to hack your computer!" When they very obviously didn't even know enough about computers to seriously damage my computer if they were sitting at the keyboard.

The stupidest things are the things that have nothing to do with technicalities, but the people themselves that said it...

I guess I should explain. I've heard a lot of stupid and impossible things from people, but the ones that really stick with me are the ones that don't have to do with the Internet themselves, but just things that show the true ignorance of the person that said it — often exaggerating or distorting details of the personal life so that they can impress others or feel better about themselves as if the Internet is their playing ground! It's terrible for them in the end, though, so I try not to worry about it!

Thats not true. When i was playing Counter-Strike, i was awping, because im a whore like that, and this guy runs around a corner into my cross hairs towards me, and when i fired the damage was soo great the server crashed. Seriously(About the server crashing part).

I'm gonna make my own MORG (same as MMORPG, unlike MMORPG, you can actually say MORG) where you must beware the system administrators because if you're hacking, they won't just ban you . . . they'll erase you.

I can think of so many stupid things people have said to me since I joined these forums (and Myspace) since this is the only place where I actually talk to people (type to people; and Myspace . . . used to nEwy).
I can also think of a few arguments that I made over games that were groundless and some moments when I overreacted to someone's statement. I go through and delete anything I've done stupidly. I would never deny posting them. But I'd prefer future viewers not behold my stupidity.

I now know the stupidest thing someone has ever said to me based on the internet. My Dad has this website for his work company that he often goes to since his union is on strike. Anyway, when it's being updated, something odd happens to it, and random letters and symbols are left in place. I was on the computer, then I left it on for my Dad to use it. My Dad sees the websites in it's symbol being updated form and yells at me: "Jessica, why did you break that website?!?!"
