Pre-Ciddies Knockout Tournament

Every time the Ciddies are held, Ciddies #48 and #49 are the "Duo Awards". This means they represent two similar / related characters such as Batman & Robin or Calvin & Hobbes. The past Ciddies have had the following duos...

Batman (Batman) and Robin (Yamaneko)
David Hasselhoff (RSL) and Pamela Anderson (ShlupQuack)
James Bond (Del Murder) and a Bond Girl (Britt)
Sailor Scout (Agent Proto) and a Samurai Pizza Cat (James Latimer Cockney Rebel)
Pinky (Jojo) and the Brain (Wyllius)
Pinky (edczxcvbnm) and the Brain (Wyllius)
Calvin (Spaceman Spiff) and Hobbes (RSL)

Calvin and Hobbes were the first Duo Awards to be voted in by yourselves and this year you have the opportunity to do it again - and all the previous duos are now also in the running. So, let the knockout tournament begin! The rules are simple - pick one duo for each line and post your choices.

One thing I'd like everyone to keep in mind is that you aren't choosing the best duo, you're choosing the one that would make the most interesting Ciddies. For this reason, characters with very specific styles or distinctive qualities are great. A good example is Pinky (silly, stupid) and the Brain (evil, intelligent). This makes the voting in the Ciddies themselves a lot easier!

Why are people assuming there will be more than one duo? O_o The duo awards are Ciddies #48 and #49 every single year. This is just to decide those two awards... last year Calvin & Hobbes won, making Calvin #48 and Hobbes #49. This year there will again only be one duo, and the duo will replace Calvin & Hobbes (unless Calvin & Hobbes wins, obviously, in which case it's not really replacing).

There will be a 35/15 split, though, which means five more MLT's than last year's Ciddies.

The idea of the duo awards is, as you might have noticed over the past seven or so Ciddies, that there is a DUO - ie, two characters - for Ciddies #48 and #49. Eg, last time #48 was MLT be Calvin and #49 was MLT be Hobbes. There will only be ONE winner, that winner will consist of TWO characters - hence a duo!
