*Unrelated note* I always got the impression that the Mandalorians played a much huger role in the clone wars than just providing templates for clones. I thought they were a dying out race that helped Vader hunt down the Jedi. It could be argued that they are, in fact, placed into that role, but a whole buncha copies of one Mandalorian hardly qualifies as a race. George Lucas can't direct his way out of a box. lousy guy. :mad:

But I know, it's when they are on some planet with Han Solo's son (I don't remember who are with them, but nevermind), and they get attacked by some evil beings (don't remember who). There's an asteroid (or something) heading towards the planet, and it's gonna crush. They leave in a hurry, but chewie gets left behind, and Solo's son (wasn't his name Anakin, heh) doesn't want to risk all of their lives just because of Chewie, so they leave and Chewie dies as the asteroid hits the planet :(

I believe in "The Last Command" by Timothy Zhan (or something) Mara Jade mentions that Vader lost his right hand because the Emporer was pissed at Vader about the debacle at Yavin. Even though Vader had nothing whatsoever to do with the Death Star being there,since it was actually Tarkin's fault, but everything Death Star related seems to be pinned on Vader (rather unfairly in my opinion) but there you are.

The event at Derra IV wasn't really all that bad, but everybody's always talking about it as a whole huge blow to the Rebellion. it happened between episodes 4 and 5. so what happened?

I'm not entirely sure if this is correct, but I recall the name Derra IV from somewhere.

I believe the Rebellion had a convoy prepared on Derra IV ready to transport much needed equipment to Hoth's Echo Base, but an Imperial ambush put an end to that and the supplies never reached Hoth.
