This trailer is all kinds of awesome. VII's not even one of my top three favorite FFs, yet I'm finding myself going into FanBoy spasms watching this.

I'm totally blown away (even to the point of using the word "totally") by the awesome that is this trailer.

One point of interest is that it seems they've offered further confirmation of the identity of the Wheelchair Man:

Given the current trends in Japanese media coming into the American market, it will no doubt have the options of English dubs and original Japanese with English subtitle. At least the DVD will, I dont know what sort of options they put on PSP movies.

According to adventchildren.net:

Eurogamer has word from Square-Enix that the DVD and UMD formats of Advent Children will be available to the European public "by the end of 2005", adding that they are "doing [their] best to get it out this year". Also, according to Eurogamer's inside sources, there has been no offical word on a UMD launch date as Sony Pictures and Sony Computer Entertainment are still discussing how to handle release dates for the two formats. The two are said to be deciding between a simultaneous launch for the formats or giving one format priority over the other.

It sounds like they'll probabaly come up with a date soon. So glad I live in the U.S. and now know the date. . . *dances*

Dude.. BEFORE you see him all close up.. If I could get a screenshot of what I'm talking about, I'd get it for ya, but I can't... Cloud is looking up with his sword stuck into the building and you can see a SMALL figure of sephiroth fly into the building.. then it shows Cloud's face, then the building starts to crumble.. THEN you see the CLOSEUP of Sephiroth..

He/It is flying downward pretty fast. His/its hair is being pushed back in the wind.

It's the same scene, just condensed. A previous trailer implied more that the Sephy form cuts through the debris from further away at first than the sudden in-your-face nature of this.

Well I won't say it's the Original. Considering the clones in FF7 mostly had the potential. Honestly I always thought one of them DID attain a Seph status/likeness since you were chasing him and then find out he was trapped and couldn't move to BE chased. But I still don't think it's Kadaj, even though that's the most likely. It just doesn't look like him. The face is longer and more manly.

Bahamut was a Summon. The WEAPONs were Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Ultimate, and Diamond.

I attended E3 again this year and I managed to get a ticket to see Square's theatre main presentation. Just wanted to point out that this trailer is very similar to the one showed in there but slightly less. There was about 30 seconds to a minute more footage in the actual cut at E3 interwoven throughout the trailer. Most memorably there was a scene before Bahamut causes the explosion that sends Rude and Reno flying when they are running:

"Is he following us!?"
"I don't know, why don't you ask him!"

Also, instead of the Sephiroth flying down out of the debris scene we have been seeing for the last few months, this trailer ended with Sephiroth actually landing next to cloud and saying something like:

"It's been awhile, Cloud"

Stuff like that.

In the media package that I got from the Square info booth there was two CDs, one of which had high res screens for all the games on the floor and the other had the cut of the trailer in this thread for Advent Children except it wasn't subtitled.

Just thought I would clear that up.
