Jack Sparrow confirmed for KH2!

I was just looking over at IGN, and they confirmed that Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean would make an appearance in the game. http://ps2.ign.com/articles/614/614488p1.html

Personally, I think this is pretty cool, especially if they can somehow pull off a Depp performance. Plus this opens up the possibilty of having more live action Disney characters/movies (Tron anyone?).

What? ...I'm not sure live-action would translate that well into this universe. Roger Rabbit was one in a million. I'm sure they can render fairly lifelike models. But it just doesn't seem right to me. Doesn't help that I wasn't a fan of PotC... at all... but I blame that on someone else.

My dad just got back from E3, the big videogame trade show in Los Angeles. They were showing KH2 in the Square and Disney booths, and he got to play the Mulan and Hades levels. At Square they wouldn't let you tape anything, but you could walk right over to Disney and tape all you want! So he got both levels on tape, along with the new trailer. The graphics are great, but Sora seems to appear smaller on the screen than in KH1. The Mulan level follows the movie pretty closely, but the main boss is a huge blue dragon. In the Hades level, Auron fights by Sora's side against the 3-headed dog, and he has some awesome new moves! And it looks like there's definitely a Tron level – the trailer shows Sora on a motorcycle racing through a Tron landscape with a bunch of computer virus heartless chasing him.
Unfortunately, now they're saying it may not be released until early 2006, aaargh! :shoot:
