what bands do you wish you had been old enough to see

i would have loved to see Queen in their prime with Freddie Mercury singing, i would also have liked to see the original line-up of Guns n' Roses, that would have been a good concert to see :choc:

I'd liked to see the Pink Floyd The wall show, when they still had Roger Waters in the band.

I feel incredibly disappointed that I never got to see John Denver. His last concert here in Fort Worth was in 1987, one year before I was born.

Pink floyd when they were still with Sid Barret, or any Roger Waters show.

Everything I like and haven't seen and know I will never see.

I cure this by pretending to be those bands.

Well there's not really any old bands I wish I had seen, but I wish I had seen Blink 182 before they broke up, and I wish I'd seen Radiohead back when they would still have been performing from their first few albums. But now, it doesn't matter so much.

Alice in Chains, The Ramones, and Sepultura back when Max was still with them.

Gentle Giant (they were going to reunite in 2003, but nothing happened)
Genesis (when Peter Gabriel was writing all the lyrics and Steve Hackett most of the music)
Jethro Tull (when they had Martin Barre, Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond, and John Evans)
Camel (when they still had Doug Ferguson)
King Crimson (the Fripp-Wetton-Bruford era of the band)
Pink Floyd (I'd actually would have been more interested in seeing the WYWH or Animals tour than The Wall tour of 1980)
Tangerine Dream (the Virgin Record Label years)

The Offspring, Blink 182 and Lostprophets

I'm pretty sure The Offspring and Lostprophets are still together.

I would've liked to have seen the Smashing Pumpkins, preferably pre-Adore.

True, but judging on the live footage I've seen, it would have been a blast even with the eclectic Adore songs. Same with Machina.

The Smashing Pumpkins (Before D'Arcy left if I could)
Sonic Youth (Before they got old... The Good or Dirty tours)
Rage Against The Machine
Johnny Cash
At The Drive In

you can still go see Iron Maiden, i am

I saw some live footage of that tour, they really butchered Bullet With Butterfly Wings. I don't mind their weirder Adore stuff, and Machina had some good tracks, but it's the Gish-Siamese Dream (and MCIS to a degree) alternative grunge rockers I really love. Back when they were hippies, before they were goths, if you can take those with a pinch of salt.

For all of you who said Blink182. Just to anger you, I'm going to say:
I was at their last ever gig. :D

And for me, probably Bob Marley. I'm sure there is others, but my minds gone blank.
