I was recently playing CC until my game kept freezing in cutscenes, now I am in the mood for some CT... Someone convince me to play it, it has been so long.

Convincing is all in the mind, no matter what anyones says, if you don't want to play it, you can't get into it, and then you'll think the game is borring and dull, no matter if it is or not.
Trust me, I've been trying to convince myself to go back and play some of my games over again.

Or you can explain to me what CT & CC had in common storyline-wise. :( I finished CC and then I even went back to play CT because I was confused with the story. And I still haven't gotten it.

Like, Lavos? Lucca? Reptites? Time travelers save the future from Lavos?

Those are all references in CC.

Now that you've beaten CT, go back (immediately) to CC, and maybe start a save up at the Dead Sea. Then, when you're done there, load up a save at Chronopolis and talk to everybody and examine all the computers. Some stuff should seem pretty familiar.

Also, play the opening of Radical Dreamers up until the Feral Cats scene, then you should appreciate something more, in Chronopolis. The cool thing about that is they change the names in CC, so instead of being stuck with default names (unless I downloaded a script editor), it's like

"All I have to do is whisper your name. Alicia... Alicia"

edczxcvbnm is right - remember, it's been 10 years since 1000AD, the "home" time period in CT. Since Frog is from 600AD, tack on an extra 400.
