All my hair(normally goes down to shoulders) is slicked back with petrolium jelly vaseline.
Ugh, this was a bad idea, people say it looks pretty cool but it just feels so disgusting and greasy. Especiallly on my forehead and the back of my neck. Its like a 50's greaser nightmare
So, what do you think, have you ever done this?

I used to do that to my hair during winter; coz hair goes all dry like. But not as much as that! Just a little bit to keep it moist.

How do you plan to get it out? Try hair gel (as opposed to vaseline, not to remove it)
Id get a hair cut and spike it.

Vaseline!? That's what you (well, I, when I have some) put on my legs as lotion to make my legs shiny.... XD

I've never done that and I never will. I hate oily hair ._. It doesn't look good either, I wouldn't want to get too near a person who has really oily hair cos' like... oily... what if I get some on myself? xD *falls over*

All of it should come out after a couple showers. My uncle told me they used to do that all the time in the 50's.

disgusting and greasyIt looks it.
I've not seen you with your hair down but you look like you suit it back of your face, maybe that is why people say it looks good.

My hair goes back like that every time I get out of the Bath/Shower.

I like the normal way it is. I use vaseline on my face occasionally before I go to bed, it makes my face soft, but I hate the feeling of vaseline.

I'd just pony-tail it.

vaseline is not a lubricant
stop

Jojee
05-27-2005, 02:16 AM
No, it's not a lubricant if you're using condoms, because it will cause the condoms to be less effective ^_^

Despite not being a lubricant for condoms, seeing the title on the main index still looks a little suspicious.

There's a reason the trend floundered and died. :D

I just shave my head :D. But anyways I think it would suck having that much crap in your hair. I'd just use hair jell.

put it into pigtails.

Yeah, do this!

It looks good, but if you don't like it, don't use it. That why I don't use hair gel, I hate the way it feels.

My hair is an acceptable length for a man.

Sounds gross. Use Paul Mitchell apple green gel. It's not sticky looking and doesn't feel greasy. ^_^

Have you ever lathered your body in vaseline and then gone on a slip and slide? (maybe this should be a new topic)

You all need cut off white t-shirts, tight and faded jeans, and cigarettes hanging out of your mouths.

heh. the outsiders.

I think your hair looks much better down. You look a little too much like Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice with the vaseline on. ;)

I've never done anything like that myself. I'm very normal when it comes to my hair, and I don't like to try anything too adventurous.

Vasiline in your...hair? I only use Vasiline for one purpose, and I've never even thought of putting it in my hair. I always thought that's what jel was for.

But then, I shave my head, so I don't have to worry about that stuff anyway.

My name is...something..?

I've never heard of putting that stuff in your hair.
Hmm, that's weird to me.
But than again using hair gel is weird to me.

Leave it down, Man. Vasline is much better when used on doorknobs or water fountains.

I've never seen anybody with vasaline in their hair. It must be so hard to get out.

I only use it on my lips to keep them soft and not dry. :D

Personally I use acid green gel on my hair.... available at your local beauty shop.

I have it pony tailed right now so its not all icky feeling on my neck.
I've taken 3 hour long showers now just trying to wash it out of my hair and its hardly helped! Anyone know of any other ways to get it out other than cutting it, I like my hair :(
At least its not as shiney and greasy looking as it was yesterday.

Use hairgel if you want that look, though I think your hair looks better without it.

I would never put vaseline on my hair. I used hairgel/hairwax/haircream/hairspraygel (yeah those exist, too!) to make it stay in place (not all at the same time, though), but never vaseline.

The title of this thread ruined it for me...there's only one thing people really use vaseline for.

Attention all, i have finally found a solution to my particular perdicament of super greasy hair.
Dish washing liquid soap stuff. I took one shower with this stuff and it's almost all gone :) Yay!
