So last weekend my friends put on an old school nintendo party and we all broke out our old games to put them to use once again. It was a great time and turned out to be a lot of fun. More importantly than all of that, I found, in my stack of old NES games, one of my favorite games from when I was a kid that I had completely and totally forgotten about until then.

The game is called Crystalis, it's an action RPG Zelda offshoot made by SNK and it's surprisingly good. I didn't get to play much at the party obviously because action RPGs are not party games, but what I did play made me incredibly nostalgic and I had to download it and play it again. I must say, the game is incredible. It's fun, great looking, and as addictive as any good action RPG nowadays.

Anyone else a fan of this game? If so let's hear it! If not, I've attached the rom conveniently so you CAN be! What could be easier. Let's hear it for one of the better NES games of my childhood.

I love that game. I consider it on par with the original Legend of Zelda. I loved that the max level was 16, and since that was easily attainable, the game came down to more skill than it did raw level power.

What I didn't like was the cure spell. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the cure spell does not belong in action RPGs.

I luff this game! It's so fun. I remember my brother used to force me to play the games he liked and one day he made me play Crystalis and I fell in love with it. Thanks bro! :D

Its made by SNK, the makers of King of Fighters, so it HAS to be good.
