PS3, cause I think its just all around better than the others... Features and Hardware all seem better to me... Plus, I'm sure they will have more of the games I want anyway. lol
I'm also not willing to support MS with my money... xD MS = teh evil 1!

PS3. Playstation always has teh most RPGs, and Square will be going that way so I shall follow.

Neither. I've had the strangest feeling for months that the Revolution will have something amazing. The PS3 and Sux Box 360 can have all the unnecessary things they want, but the Revolution will have.... well, something revolutionary. Nintendo, regardless of popularity, always manages to create the most innovative games. If I'm to get a next gen. console, it's the Revolution.
Abominatrix, Square's working with Microsoft now, too. FFXI is going to be their first X Box 360 game, so that might foreshadow things to come, unfortunately.
TheAbominatrix
06-07-2005, 12:21 AM
But we can except the numerical FF's to be on PS3. Square is working with Nintendo again, but all we see with them are ports and Crystal Chronicles. I'm assuming all they'll do with Microsoft are ports and maybe an original game or two.
SomethingBig
06-07-2005, 12:25 AM
Yeah, it'd be smart for Square to keep the FFs on the Playstation because that's where all their fans are, even though we'd probably follow Square to the pits of hell. I remember the president of Square(or Nintendo?) stating that they have many plans for the Revolution during an E3 press conference.

My opinion, I dont think the Xbox will do to well in comparison to PS3 and Revolution despite its early release and all round I think the PS3 will do best out of the three consoles. Ill definitely buy PS3 and possibly revolution the same way I bought PS2 and then gamecube a year or two later.

haaa choices choices
The Playstation 3 will probably show us what sony can do just think it may have a harder and more stable exterior unlike the PS2.
it's like a next gen PS2 without most of the faults eg the lazer! gah my Ps2's lazer is busted up no GTA SA for me sigh but i would think the revolution and the xbox will be on the same level trying to race eachother the outdo what may not be out done
well think about this generation console race
the PS2 is ahead of the xbox and the poor gamecube has fell they havent been doing good lately but the xbox is good some good games now may consider buying it but the PS2 may not be as good as the xbox in stats but it certainly has alot of memerable unique titles though alot of games are released on several consoles at once
i think FFXII may get released for PS2 and 3 but thats me
Sony revolutionized my game life maybe its done moe bad than good luring youngsters into long imprisonments in there rooms lol

Unless Sony majorly screws something up, the PS3 will probably be the most popular console again. They already have titles lined up that their fanbase wants (DMC 4, MGS 4, Tekken 6 etc), and they have the benefits of being the most advanced console.

Though the Xbox360 looks good I have to go with PS3. Don't get me wrong but I mean seriously look at all the histroy playstation has over the Xbox~
I can say that the Xbox will have good times the next halo, war gears looks good. But I just feel as if the PS3 has so many good games coming with it already. Metal gear, gran turismo, etc. It just looks to have somewhat better specs over the Xbox and better games. ^^
But HEY you gotta loveeeee DoA extremeeeeee beach volleyball ^^

Durring E3, I kept hearing Microsoft saying that "DOA4 will be exclusively on Xbox 360!"... Although, this might happen... Tomonobu Itagaki has said a few times durring E3 interviews that he is not sure at this time what system he will develope for. He doesn't have loyalty to MS, he has loyalty to whatever system turns out to be more powerful. lol

Many of you choose the PS3 over the X Box 360, when Microsoft has yet to show what the X Box 360 can actually do. What they showed at E3 was, supposedly, just 1/5 of the X Box's real power. Also, the X Box 360 booth actually allowed you to get hands-on experience with the X Box 360 games. What did the PS3 conference give you? A couple of beautiful pre-rendered FMVs. Not really siding with Microsoft here, in case people think I'm an X Box fanboy.

I'm really not into specs and such. It's all about the games for me, so even if 360 blows PS3 out of the water graphically, it wont get my money unless it gets a very large amount of games I'm interested in. Currently all I want are the Mystwalker games, as far as 360 is concerned.

I'd say at most we saw 1/2 of the 360's power... and that would have to go for the PS3 too. Both are likely to improve power as time goes by as well... as more games come out, they just get better and better (graphically). When you compare PS2 games at launch, with PS2 games now, and same with Xbox games.
And most of the stuff at the PS3 conference wasn't pre-rendered... :p The demos were either true real time, or representations of real time, that seemed very believable... Most of the demos were even being controlled in real time.
If anything, Sony are the ones that haven't shown the true power of their system... And what we saw of the 360 wasn't that impressive.
Lets not forget that the Revolution is still hiding many secrets! ^_~ Who knows, it might turn out to be the most graphically powerfull. XD
Though my money is still on PS3. =P

yeah i have to agree here, pretty much my thoughts here Xbox just doesnt...seem to WOW me as much as Playstation or Nintendo could ever do. I mean i aint a huge fan of Sony as much as i am with Nintendo, but i respect them at the very least that they are taking most steps in the right direction and giving me the "NICE!" after looking at their stuff...something Xbox fails to provide to me especially after Halo going on PC.

I am most interested in the Revolution because I love Nintendo games. And being backwards compatible with their entire library, I am really looking forward to it.
Not interested in being called a faggot by a 12 year old on the interweb, so XBox does not grab my attention. I will however, purchase a PS3 because they will probably get the most 3rd party support.

i'd have to say that i'm most hyped by the PS3, yet i do believe that xbox 360 will lose this war completely as i'm sure revolution with all the things it already has, despite unreliesed details, is already a step up from what the xbox is going to have. sorry billy, you blew it this time.

I'm all about the Revolution at this point, only because little is known about the game lineup of none of the upcoming consoles, and when it comes down to just faith, I have much more of that in Nintendo as a game developer than I do either Sony or Microsoft.
Thing is, it's still a bit early to be judging any company so far. Though, given that the XBox 360 is set for release at the end of the year, it's hard not to look forward to it.

PS3. Nothing else matters. At all. Even if I remotely wanted the other systems, there'd be no chance of me getting it, on account of my parents, and me having no job.
:D
If I had to choose one, based on everything I know at the moment, it'd be the Revolution. I have been playing a lot of Action games or FPS's to RPG's recently, and my most recent RPG was Jade Empire for the Xbox (which is a great game, I might add). Yes, I know that all three will have a game for every genre, but right now, I'm hoping for only 5 games: A Zelda for the Revolution, a Super Smash Bros for the Revolution, a Mario Kart for the revolution, and a Jade Empire 2 for the Xbox 360. The other is the next Thief game, but that will likely be for PC.
So anyway, yeah, I'm joining the Revolution right now. Than MAYBE a 360.

PS3.
Revolution looks very lackluster (as is my Gamecube) and 360 no longer appeals to me because the one feature that seperates it from the competition (LiVE) sucks now thanks to all of the underage users/quitters/cheaters using it.
On the other hand, PS3 has some nice looking games, the most power, and I trust Sony.

Oh wow look, PS2 online has 2 times as many users than Xbox Live!
http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=3439
I just stumbled accross this article... and I honestly never would have guessed that! ^_^; Amazing, wonder if that means Xbox supporters can't use online play as their strong argument anymore, cause it looks like Sony is doing a lot better there. LOL Wonder if its cause Sony doesn't make such a huge deal about it. xD
Sony officials have reportedly announced that the number of PS2 online users have reached 1.5 million worldwide – twice the number of Xbox Live users.
Although there are seven times more PlayStation 2 consoles in the world this figure is still surprisingly high considering the relatively low-key marketing of PlayStation 2 online titles, compared to Xbox Live.

No doubt I will get PS3 because Square has already announced a FF game and MGS4. It will have amazing capabilities. I can't imagine how much one of those Blue disc can hold, but it would be a dream to play an ultra long RPG. Hate the controller design though. Sony will like dominate, though I hate the PSP which offers digital technology in handheld but no innovation in gameplay like the DS.
No interest in X360 whatsoever. It has nice design though. If I want to play FPS and such I would rather get a PC. Halo = overhype and overrated. The only interesting title announced for it so far is Blue Dragon from the creator of Chrono Trigger. We'll see I suppose but at the moment the answer = NO WAY.
Nintendo. From what I've seen of the Revolution so far it looks nice as a console. It will no doubt have some of the best quality titles coming out from Nintendo. It's a lil downer that it won't be compatible with HDTV (from what I've heard so far) but I like the promise of being focus on games and innovations. I would probably rather this than X360 for the top quality Nintendo games alone as the main reason. The DS offers fantastic innovation in gameplay with touchscreen and a secondary screen. I thought that that's awesome.
Overall PS3 would probably come out on top again riding the successes of PS and PS2, and having the best specs of all the systems. I'll defineitely get a PS3 becasue I think Sony has really put a lot of effort into their new system. I hope that the competition between Nintendo and MS will be more on an even plain field this time. No doubt that Revolution will be the underdog but I think that Nintendo can pull it off. It was sad that Nintendo lost so much with the Gamecube in the international market (it did better than X-box in Japan). It's sad that so many sees Nintendo as 'kiddy game makers' when they have crafted some absolutely killer games and gameplay ideas. It took Resident Evil 4 to wake people up that they are not just oriented to making kids game but rather quality gameplay for all audience. Even now there's still some who don't think Nintendo has mass appeal because of stoopid reasons. N64 was their only mistake which adopted cartridge format and it feels like nobody cares about Nintendo anymore after that. Remember SNES, which totally rocked with games for anybody and everybody. Personall I think that if Nintendo's Revolution offers some kind of innovation in gameplay with their controller as promised then I think Nintendo has a good chance to come back in this era. They will need a lot more software support that the Gamecube to convince me though. It's all about the games. I also think that developers will be able to milk each system's capabilities until later cycle of this coming generation's systems' life. So I think that graphically it will be a pretty even from the get go. I mean seriously how much more can the graphic improve after this generation....!? I think we will start to see limitations in graphical developemt from this point on and it will be more about innovation of the softwares and internet gaming.
