Class change?

When does class change happen and how? Ive been on loads of FF1 sites and none so far tell me how this actually happens. Please help? I heard somewhere it was something to do with Bahamut but I'm not sure.

To the East of the islands with the Dragons you will find a castle. It's called the castle of ordeals. Go through this and at the end you will get an item proving your courage. Take this item to Bahamut, king of the dragons, and your class will be upgraded.

Aaaah....thought so. Cheers mate. FF1 OWNZORZ!!! I LOVE the magic in it! It's SO reliable! (Unlike in FF2, where almost every non damage or healing spell fails EVERYTIME!!)

So true. I did once have lv.2 break with 5o some intelligence kill a behemoth. Frog is the only kill spell worth it because of the mini games. You need the Airship and this has been done many times.

Your classes get upgraded bassically. Fighter/ Warrior to Knight, Thief to Ninja and heres the rest...

red/ white/ black mages ---> red/ white/ black Wizards
Blackbelt/ Monk ---> Master
