Does anyone know of a free webspace provider that has relatively small adverts placed in your webspace, a big file size limit AND a lot of free webspace? I know it sounds far-fetched, but im still hoping. I dont want to pay for webspace.

Freewebs.com is free with no pop ups, but it can only hold 50 files.

Try http://www.freehomepages.com. It only has banner ads at the bottom of pages, unlimited bandwidth, and 50 megabytes of space.

You're going to have to compromise somewhere. I hope you find a free host with the specifications you're hoping for, but different free hosts have their pros and cons for a reason. The customer would be left with no incentive to upgrade to a paid account if they had everything they needed with their free plan.

With that said, <a href="http://www.hostultra.com/freehosting.html">Host Ultra</a> was good for me when I wasn't on a paid server. The PHP and mySQL (their free plans no longer come with free mySQL, but PHP is still there) is what hooked me, not to mention their lenient space and bandwidth limits.

You can install a web server on your own PC and host the images from your own HD :monster:

The only problems would be bandwidth limitations. You wouldn't be able to host any large files to more than a few users at a time.

www.rapidshare.de has no limits on size and bandwidth. Only downside is, you can't link directly to the file. It takes you through a page and then lets you download. But it works fine for a free server.

What happened to the good old fashioned way of leeching off of your friends' webspace?
