View Full Version : FF12 on the xbox 360?

My friend keeps insisting that FF12 is coming out on the Xbox 360, I told him it was FF11 but he said they're making FF12 for it as well. So I don't know what to believe anymore. Is it coming out for the 360 or will I get to play it before having to spend $400 on a new system?

FFXII will be for the PS2. Whether they'll port it to the 360 or not remains to be seen.

They've only confirmed FFXI for the X-Box 360 so far.

They said that Final Fantasy XII will be on PS3. Also, it wont be released until early 2006 :cry: Its sad! LOL. But I guess I can wait. LOL. They also say that their making final fantasy xiii. I wanna see it. lol.
The guy was either trying to rattle your chains or he somehow took Mistwalkers confirming game for Microsoft as meaning Final Fantasy was going 360. Or he was incredible misinformed somewhere else.

You're the one who said PS3 in your previous post, which is why people are getting confused.
It will be for the PS2, and therefore for the PS3 technically considering backwards compatability. Xbox 360...I don't see why they'd do that...and nothing like that has ever been said to my knowledge.
Bottom line: It will be on the PS2.

FFXII - WILL BE RELEASED ON THE PS2. THIS IS AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE WEBSITE. THIS MEANS YOU CAN PLAY IT ON THE PS3.
THE ONLY FF CONFIRMED FOR THE XBOX 360 IS FFXI. NOT FFXII. FFXI. THIS INFO WAS STATED AT THIS YEARS E3.
JEEPERS. HOW EASY RUMORS SPREAD AND PEOPLE GET CONFUSED.

My dad must have been pulling my leg then, he said it would be on ps3 (yes i live with my parents! i'm frikkin 13! lol), we are major final fantasy geeks. lol. I cant wait to play final fantasy 12 though. It looks really nice, and the music is spectacular. I may be 13, but i've played all of the final fantasy games ( i said my dad and i are geeks, he bought every final fantasy).

It would be quite redundant to release a game on one system, and then remake it for a superior system within a year of original release.

I dont see the reasoning on it, Square is a dominately japanese company and x-box never made a big enough dent in the japanese market for them to warrent it, its mainly a easten console.

Its "Lost Odessy" and "Blue Dragon" that mistwalker is creating for the Xbox 360. SquareEnix also has signed on to make games for the 360 as well. I think one of them is FFXI.

It would be wonderful to see more FF's cross-platforming, but I agree with what a lot of people said above; I really dont want systems to have exclusive FF's, given that I cant afford more than one system xD

Well, ffxii on xbox? Who would believe that? IT would probably be a horrible idea for square to do that. Most RPG fans get playstation and nintendo, not xbox. THat just be a waste of money for square.

Its gonna be on PS2. And I hope it will be on 360 so that people who don't have PS2's will play FFXII!
