Okay, since I seem to be the only sane person left in this forum, I'll just say a few words about what I think of this piece.

It in some ways can be likened to men in society as we know them.
A while ago Sephiroth was a pretty gruff tough guy, and ladies (and some gents) found that hot in him....but now it's just come down to normality for men to be gruff.
So now men have to find something different to be hot for ie. being femenine.
I think Sephiroth felt he was losing the attention of the female audience so disguised himself as Rikku to get their' attention back. Girls, is seems, actually DO like the more femenine man....Just take a look at highschool heartthrobs nowadays...all manicures and highlighters for their' slightly longer than normal hair, and that's the BOYS I'm talking about here. Alright so this point may be VERY opinionated, but you do see the femenine boys having it easier with girls nowadays...

The white knight in shining armour just no longer cuts it anymore for the ladies...he's left alone atop a windswept hill with noone to find him attractive, while the Casanova is down there getting smooched by all the ladies while getting his latest hair extensions done.
