6.) You can reuse the same battle system which has changed very little since the beginning of the series, and still become the most popular RPG series in Japan.

7.) Games can have such an influence on society, that new words are adopted into the (Japanese) society's language due to it's popularity (Hoimi, a basic healing spell in DQ).

If at first you don't succeed, go and kill lots and lots and LOTS of people until your level exceeds any known system of measurement. Then try again.

That if you need to find the legendary armour, all you need is love.

That you can't release DQ on a weekday because everyone will skip school to buy it. (Jee kids finding a reason not to go to school *shock* *horror*).

That no one reallt needs to see the characters in a battle.

That people will invite complete strangers to go on their most sacred rituals.

Looting is fun.
