Favorite Airship

I just thought it would be cool to get everyone's opinions on what the coolest airship was. Is it FF7's Highwind? Or maybe you prefer the dragonish Ragnarok of FF8. Anyway, if you have a favorite, post it here.

Ragnarok I liked the design of the Hilda Guard2 better but I love the music during Ragnorok and the way it starts flying.

I liked the Ragnarok too, but it always seemed to me that it flies a little bit slower than any other airship.

I dunno if all the Airships in FF have names. I liked the one in FFVI, Setzer's Ship. i'm not sure of the name, but I think it was the Blackjack. it makes sense since Setzer was a card player.

FFVII's Highwind was sweet. I loved how Cloud and company just went in and stole it.

Although I like the Highwind and Ragnarok I have to say the coolest is still the Invincible. I just wish it came with instructions on operating the Eyeball of Doom. :greenie:

Invincible. The FFIII one is neat, but the FFIX can destroy entire cities, store sould, kill Eidolons... AND IT HAS AN EYEBALL \o/

The FFX ship was neat, especially with those wicked cool guided missiles in the Evrae battle...

BUT I don't really like the menueverability on it....ie ZERO. You couldnt steer it at all. BUT in FF1 and 2 you had free reign across the WHOLE WORLD, and that was SUPER NEAT. You could fly right over to the temple of chaos and pay a surprise (albeit feind-whupping) visit to the altar, or you could just sail across the skies before settling down for a nap at Gaia or Cornelia... PLUS it was lightning fast in FF1! And the sounds it made were SSOOOO satifying....DUGGA DUGGA DUGGA DUGGA DUGGA DUGGA DUGGA!! WOOOOOOOOOSSSHHHH!!

Hmmm... You wouldn't be able to tell me where those weapons are mounted would you? I'm working on a FF mod for a certain Turn-based strategy game, and will very likely be making a Ragnarok unit for said game (as one of Estar's Unique Units)....

As for my favorite airship, definitely the Highwind, especially since Cid Highwind (my favorite charachter in all FF) can call down its massive missile barrage to blast most bosses back into the stone age :D

definately the invincible from ffIX it looked freaking awesome. that was probably the best thing about the game, apart from having a airship deck for the tetra triad (or whatever the card game is called)

Its looks like more than just a hotrod.....I see a limo (Big square part at the front with the hood orniment), a chopper motorbike (Big wheel thingys that go really high!) and at one point it rears up and looks like a praying mantis......(just plain freaky)

It's a tie between that and the Blackjack for me. The Invincible inarguably has the superior theme, though. The best in the series, in fact.

as far as i remember, the machine guns were located to the sides of the head, and the laser came out of the mouth. but i could be gravely mistaken, i havent played that game since i beat it for the 8th time like 6 months ago.
