Because of Destais thread, it spurred me to ask this question: Do you talk more on the phone or online, through AIM, Y!M, or MSN?

I NEVER talk on the phone, unless my dad calls from Arizona. It's so much easier to be surfin' da web AND talking to peeps at the same time.

I don't much like either, I prefer face to face. But I like IM better because you can pay attention to a number of things rather than having to pay attention to one single thing.

Phones.
They're much more intimate.

Of those two, phones are better in my opinion. I can multitask, so I'll just play my game or surf the web or read a book or whatever while talking on the phone. Plus, it feels more personal and I like talking to my friends.

Honestly, neither. Most of my IRL friends go to my message board, and if I want to talk to them I'll do it through there. If I want to address all of them, I make a thread, and for one-on-one I PM them. They do the same as well.

IRL > IM > phone. Minutes are expensive, ya know.

More often on IM. phones are usually a necessary evil, unless it's with other eoffers, then just necessary.

I am ashamed to admit that my dreams involve irc/aim windowsX.x;;;

For my offline friends, on the phone ^_^

For online friends, well, online, of course ~ :]

I probably talk more on the phone because I'm usually on my phone when I walk to and from class.

I talk to my online friends through msn, of course. But I usually talk to all my friends and family face to face more than I do on the phone :)

Phone to importantest people, LJ to internet friends...MSN to people in between those. xD

I talk on IM a lot, but I'd rather speak to a person on the phone.

I spend about 100 hours on the phone each month to Sarah, and I call a few other people once in a while too. Otherwise it's all IM's. But I voted phone because I prefer the phone to chat for the people who are most important to me.

<3 the phone.

IRL friends....well; face to face! Sometimes I talk aaaaages on the phone, but not everyday or something, because it gets annoying having to have that thing stuck your ear all the time. xD I IM a lot, but not my offline friends. And VOICE CONVERSATIONS! <33333  No silly thing stuck to my ear, even. ^_^

IM, it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg over long distances!

Definitely the phone. I usually just can't shut up, whereas IM...the conversation is just too slow for my liking these days...

I speak to a lot of people online, probably more than I do than with offline friends on my home phone. Reason being because my Mum is very strict about certain things, & she wouldn't like me speaking a lot to my friends on our home phone using it all the time, & I don't have a mobile phone, so that rules out speaking to offline friends with that. But all my offline friends are close by, so I don't really ever need to phone then. Though one thing I do find weird, is that I have more online friends than offline friends. >_<

I never use MSN and the like anyway, the only thing I use is my Hotmail account, where I speak to some people on there. Though I never go into chat... Don't know why, p'raps 'cause I just don't like it.

IM... Awkward silence is so much less awkward online.
