...Gotten their party to level 99? I did that a few years ago with 4 of my guys. I spent hours and hours a day running around in circles for battles, and eventually I got it. I think I did everything you can possibly do except nab a few items and reach all the limit breaks...

So then I lost my memory card, but that's a different story. :P

That or a gameshark.
Exactly!

From time to time I'll start up a new game with my gameshark and go into the debug room. In there you can stock up on almost every Materia and fight the "pyramid monsters" that have 1 HP, don't attack, and each give out a ton of EXP/AP/Gil. After I think six battles with them, you're already at 99.

Humm....where's the debug room? Not that I want to cheat, but I love little hidden surprises like that.

I heard a rumor about Cloud. Is it true that his hair turns black when you get him to level 99?

Several times, not because I really cared about getting to level 99, but because it happens naturally while you try to Master Knights of the Round and other materia.

Magic Pots make it much it easier.

That's exactly how I levelled up. 16000 EXP from the magic pots really helps. Especially when you get the EXP Up materia and level it up.

Nope. It's nothing more than just a cool little gameshark trick.

I've gotten Cloud, Barret, and Cid to level 99, all ultimate weapons, ultimate limit breaks, and with all master materia equipped. That's it.

You have to be in the debug room in order to fight the pyramid monsters, and the only way to do it is with the old style Game Sharks that went into the back port of the PS1. The memory card Game Sharks don't work because you have to be able to turn off the Game Shark as soon as you enter. It may sound like BS, but it does work.

You can also use the "Code Breaker" cd too. That's how I did it.
